and now time for a PSA.....( tee hee) Don't believe anyone spreading awful rumours that the movie Venom isn't good......IT was fantastic!
I screamed, laughed and jumped at so many scenes....I was sad it ended.
Now tbh I am NO expert on the " origin " stuff about the character Venom....I just like to be entertained and Tom Hardy sure did that.

Hello folks!
Well the dishwasher is purring - the leftover s are packed away.

We had a rousing game of something train with dominoes and I am completely done in.

No one noticed the cauliflower in the potatoes (heh! Heh!) The people that I thought would try the squash and the sweet potatoes did so. We had one of my single neighbours and an long time friend join us so there were 8 of us.

Everyone was yawning at 7:30 so we wrapped things up

Hello, everyone!!

A lazy day today after yesterday's dinner...almost still too stuffed to eat much today; I'm really done with heavy meals for a while...from the trip, then yesterday.. @walkonby you're so right: time for some homemade soup!!
@avoncallingu ...was the game Mexican Train? Addictive, huh? And so easy to play and chat without too much thinking..hahaha!! Glad you're still enyoing that game! I think the kids left it at camp....I hope 'the boys' bring it back when our SIL goes to close their trailer tomorrow!

Soooo...I fell again.
Yep. Battered and bruised, but nothing broken this time, thank goodness. Once again I missed a step at the kids' house and omg, everyone came running to me, terrified I broke something again!! It's so strange, being down like that and I can't use that new knee to help me up (who knew you can't kneel on new knees?!), but thankfully there's a step up into their living-room so I was able to slid my tush one it then rest and get helped up once again. I hardly slept last night with the discomfort of the pain. So it'll be a few days of resting and recovering. I honestly don't know how I do that!!! I just lose track of that last step and whamo!!!
I don't think I want to do that again. Scared everyone to crazies!!

Well, enjoy your evening, everyone...the nfl game's on so we're both resting and enjoying it.

Oh, goodness, Lynn - so sorry to hear that.... Hoping all gets better for you quickly!

I am more steady today than the last two. It's wonderful how Fab my psyche feels, though!
Still and all, it must be baby steps! Husband and son keep reminding me, nurse drilled it in to me today. She said I am only allowed to do things in my head, not to physically do them!

I am finding it hard to adapt to not putting pressure on my left side, like getting up or down... But I must because i have to not do anything to dislodge the heart leads. No pressure on nor reaching above the shoulder for a month.

OMG @Lynn49 ! That's awful about your fall! Sending tender hugs your way! Rest up and snuggle-those are the best cures! Ouch!

I have seen a little black kitten wandering around -on my patio,-trying to get into my building, and down by an apartment where someone just moved out. It's only about 3 or 4 months old. I think someone might have abandoned it when they moved. If I see it tomorrow , I will try and scoop it up and phone pet patrol. They will take good care of it.

Tomorrow I have to have some follow-up blood work done to check on my cholesterol since I have been taking meds. I forget whether I am supposed to fast or not. What was I thinking scheduling blood work that might mean fasting the day after our Thanksgiving feast! I think that calls for a piece of pumpkin pie or a turkey sandwich.

Oh Lynnie, hope you're feeling better. I also have a bad habit of missing that last step. I did it once many years ago and ended up with a black and blue swollen ankle that I couldn't put weight on for days and days. I was carrying my baby down the stairs at the time. Yeesh. She was fine, didn't even notice that I went down but my ankle sure noticed. To this day I count the stairs every single time I go up or down.
@walkonby I send DS to see that movie on Friday with his friend. I had to buy an adult ticket for him online because he's just 12 and it's rated 14A. Extra $4. Dammit. Anyway, I guess it was worth it because he asked me when we were all going to go see it. Well, gee son, I guess when it comes out on dvd

Hi Lynn ..so sorry to hear about your mishap ..sit back and relax and recover sweetie..hopefully in few days time you will be all better again ..thinking about you ..hope you enjoys this picture ..while relaxing let your imagination take you to lovely beach 🏖 and relax ..while your relaxing think about sitting by ocean listening to those waves rolling in and out .just a peaceful place to be ...even if you have to imagine it ...it sure can relax you ..take good care yourself sweetie

Thank you, everyone, for those well-wishes. I still feel uncomfortable in parts, left hand still swollen, right shoulder, but the worst is that knee I had all those surgeries on, with the replacement, so not much walking today. @GoJays , how frightening that must have been! I shall now count each of those 14 steps from their second floor, but my problem is that I lose concentration and look at where I want to go rather than what I'm doing! Like being distracted by sparklies and shiny things! Hahaha! Ouch.

@Newfiescreech , would you believe that I actually put the nature channel on when I don't want the tv on shows? I love, love it when those waves come on!!

18 here today, but drizzly, but we don't have to shovel drizzly!

The doc will come at some point today, not looking forward to having the staples out on my chest.

" target " this Thanksgiving. That happens sometimes....just so darn uncomfortable.
Many of us know exactly what you are describing, without describing it....lol.

Now little Missy!! @Lynn49 I'll bet the worst part of what you experienced in that fall was having everyone scared out of their minds for you...right? Thank heavens you are only bruised and nothing was broken again.....just the thought of revisiting that place ....wow.

@flemeth and @GoJays I am guessing your offspring loved the movie Venom every bit as much as we did. You know Jays, it was weird but we saw kids waaaay younger than 14 at our screening?? They looked to be around 10 or so. They were with adults though.

@cabmonk I am very curious how your Thanksgiving festivities went?? Did ya get some nice compliments from your relatives on your new and improved ( healthier ) body shape? I hope so because you've worked very hard to make those changes. Carry on!!

It is a nothing day here for me. Guys are back to work, DD back to school.....it is just me and the turkey carcass. I will probably make the turkey soup tomorrow since I accomplish so much more in the early morning hours and it is almost noon now so?
