Good morning!
Happy Bright Monday!
Well, first day that I am home alone, but all should be okay.
Today is chemo day, so fingers crossed that I feel decent. Side effects don't come on the first day only, it can be over several days.
Had trouble falling asleep, then was up a fair number of times before the alarm went off at six. Husband forgot how to use the donner for my stockings, so that wasted over half an hour.
Hope all of you have a wonderful day!

@Lynn49 - perhaps I didn't explain it well enough a few weeks ago. Today was my third course of methotrexate, also used for psoriatic arthritis as well as types of cancer.
Yes, it's scary to be on, some side effects can be dangerous, but the rheumatologist monitored me for the last two weeks in hospital, and I will be seeing her every few months for follow-up. I also have to have monthly bloodwork done, most particularly to ensure that it isn't damaging my liver. She said it would be caught before any harm would occur for me.
Sorry to have freaked you out....
My day has gone okay, I did have a nap - I had been feeling a little nauseated, but am alright.
I am a bit sore because I have been puttering about a bit, but I will go put up my feet for a while after I make a walking loop of the kitchen and living room. Our son is coming by after work with a lower profile bedspring that hopefully will solve the bed height problem. The place won't take this other one back that we just bought Saturday because it is out of the original packaging.
Have a nice evening, everyone!

Hello my friends! I, also, had a double take when I saw "chemo". Thanks for reminding us, @Natalka . Is this a pill or intravenous regimen?
Well, timing was spot on today! After I got back from lunch with friends and walking Tootie, a truck pulled up with my 3 rugs. Yippee ! So, without checking out which cost the most , middle and least, I tried them all out. Guess which one I finally decided on...... the most expensive one, of course. Figures, of course. It's also one that potentially needs an underpad. But, theoretically, I already paid for it and I will be getting credits for the other 2 when I return them.
Amazing how one just jumps out at you when you see it in its prospective surroundings.
I went shopping this afternoon to see if I could find any summer shoes/sandals/running shoes that I can wear with my new orthotics. No luck. I think I may try Bioped. I'm getting desperate. Only one pair of "old lady " shoes that I can wear and even those hurt after walking around for about an hour.
I bought an ankle support and I am going to see if that will help at all.
Lovely sunset developing after a beautiful day. My car temp. read 24° this afternoon but the official temp recorded was 19°.
@Lynn49 , how is your monitor going?
@flemeth , will your daughter be working at home this summer?
@danger_dan , sounds like you need a holiday from your holiday.
Will check in later. Enjoy your evening!Last edited by avoncallingu; Mon, Apr 22nd, 2019 at 08:31 PM.

Aha! I recall now, @Natalka , that you mentioned that drug before, but I guess I didnt make the association with it as a chemo drug. Gosh, I was discombobulated there!
I can only imagine that it might feel scary to be on it, but as you said, you're being well monitored, so that's reassuring.
Nice to hear you're taking laps around the house, and naps are a good thing, too.
I hope Milan's solution works for you and that you have a great sleep tonight.
@avoncallingu , my relationship with this monitor thingy, with pads, wires, is wearing pretty darn thin. I have to put tape over the electrodes to keep them on at night, and the tape has left me with welts!
Thursday morning can't come fast enough, when my Hubby drops it off at my heart doctors office!
So have a lovely evening, everyone, and sweetest dreams.Last edited by Lynn49; Tue, Apr 23rd, 2019 at 08:07 AM.
