Had a very tiny tipple last night. Husband had bought my fave vodka from Ukraine at Easter, but I hadn't had any til now.

Ahhhh - lovely to be back in the Six after a few weeks over the pond! Seems the bad air is still here however but maybe a good gust of wind will clear the air of all the back humours as they used to say back in the day! Perfect weather for a BBQ and to ignore all that which causes eyes to roll! Hope all have a great Canada Day long weekend and if you are unhappy then have a stiff drink! If that does not help then ... well ... maybe you are beyond hope! LOL

Well, the Yankees won in London and the Jays just won with a walk-off home run, so a good baseball day so far.

One of the nice things about my new gym membership is having some place to go. It has 24 hour access and I was a bit antsy so went to use the treadmill just after 8pm for 25 mins. My key fob actually worked lol. The lights were on and music blaring but I think I was all alone.

Can you walk to the gym? -Oh yeah, I forgot, you're the one that walks for miles!!!! That's a great side benefit, @cabmonk .

Very tired. My brotherB 's family came for supper. That was nice. I helped out the lady next door with a call to the Telehealth. I got most of the laundry done and changed the bed. Tootie's feeling better and wanting to eat more but I am restricting the amount today,

I got most of a parcel ready to send off for my grand-daughter's birthday. Going to stick some ketchup chips in there. They can't get them in the States and they love them.

Sold another item that was left over from the church garage sale. Outside service tomorrow. Better take some sunscreen.

Hello, peeps!

Busy days here on the island, just got back from the kids' after a big dinner and a few games of euchre ... I tire so easily lately, and particularly in these great outdoors...far too much nature out here!

@avoncallingu , that elderly neighbour is so lucky to have you there for her! Isn't there a call-in physician there for the seniors who are alone?

Anyhow, what a productive day. I managed to buy and plant TWO flowering hastas!! ( thanks @GoJays and @Lynn49 for the recommendations ) I also scored on THREE beautiful pink flowering Mandavilla plants!! Giant Tiger is selling off their remaining garden centre items.....they were priced at just $8.00 each!
These will of course have to be brought in each winter to the basement but well worth the effort as they flower like no one's business all summer long!!

I assisted DH today in getting one more large patio stone laid down. The prep surrounding that involved removing a significant patch of grass, dumping sand down, tamping that, then bordering the large patio stone all around with other smaller bricks. So much fun!! ( NOT!! )
Anyhow after all that we celebrated with a fab meal and alcohol!! ha ha .....a first for me since Easter.
I bought a bottle of Kick Ass Sass ( a wine made by Sass Jordan! ) and it was absolutely delicious! The bottle is empty now...hmmmm, how did that happen so fast?
