i had dethawed a couple Boneless skinless chicken breasts so i bbq'd them with some montreal chicken spice, corn on the cob and a missouri rice casserole (made with long grain white rice, carrotts, celery, onions, garlic, chicken stock, shredded cheese and bell pepper). so delish!! more apple crumble for dessert.

I think tonight we will make our own pizza. i saw a cute idea on a website that used a french loaf as the crust...use up some leftover green peppers, onions, mushrooms and some pepperonis, marble cheese instead of mozza. since thats what we've got. caesar salad on the side.

I've had some good ones lately:
Saturday we had grilled portobello mushrooms with cheese and a few grilled zucchini.

Sunday was homemade spare ribs (slow cooked in the crock pot and finished on the grill) with roasted red peppers.

Last night was gnocci with homemade tomato and mushroom sauce and mashed cauliflower on the side. I also got adventurous and made a peach pie for dessert.
For the tomato sauce, I cut up part of a pork chop and cooked it in with the sauce as DH has been asking for more meat lately and because I've been supplementing my sick kitty with little pea-sized pieces of raw pork as that's her favourite thing to eat, bar none. Both the DH and the kitty were pleased with my efforts (although I doubt they would've wanted to switch meals!)

Tonight, I have a meeting until 19h30 and the better half is also working late, so DH is taking me out for donairs afterwards at my second-favourite donair place outside of Nova Scotia! <---- Just got kicked a few times as I typed that. Hmm..... I think baby wants junk food!

Well after last night's fiasco supper (LOL-- I ate ice cream cuz no one was home and I was unmotivated to cook), I shall repent my lazy ways and tonight will be something atrociously healthy...like... leaves and dirt or something. bahahahahaha.

But seriously...I'm thinking veggie lentil burgers and coleslaw...
