Good morning from the island!
On an all liquid diet today in prep for my colonoscopy tomorrow morning, my last one ever! Another advantage of late-middle-age. Hah.
Went to the huge flea market near-by with a camp friend and had such fun, it was her first time there and I think she felt like a kid in a candystore, lol! I found a cute set of 6 little espresso cups and saucers to go with my DH's Moka Pot (thank you, @walkonby , for putting me on to those pots!), for $18. Little coffee beans on them with the word, "Expresso", it's vintage, like us, lol, but in perfect shape.
Enjoy another beautiful day, everyone!!Last edited by Lynn49; Sun, Jun 9th, 2019 at 08:48 AM.

good morning Lynn and Jays!!
@Lynn49 I too settled on a cute little duo cup/saucer, 4 pieces in the set. perfect size for the brew!
( these were bought at a Thrift store and ya know what they say about one man's trash eh? ) it was so tough NOT to buy a ton of them though, each set was a little more unique than the other one.
So....guess what is baking in my oven right now?? A HUGE fresh strawberry rhubarb pie !! Made from S-C-R-A-T-C-H ..woo hoo!
Metro has the 1 lb. pkgs of fresh rhubarb now and the recipe I found online was so freaking simple to make I just had to try making one. Their strawberries were wonderfully red and firm. I suppose I DID cheat by using a box of Dr. Oteker pastry ,mix to make the top and bottom crusts but the way I see it I still had to get my hands messy rolling them out.
Going to go see The Secret Life Of Pets 2 today!! It looks as great as the first one was.
okay, nuff of dis......happy Sunday everyone.

Taking a bit of a break after supper prep. I had marinated baby back ribs with a thick dry rub and they are now in the oven. I prepped the side, too, roast potatoes with carrots and onion, plus coleslaw. Husband does the carrying and ovenminding.
Milan is coming, thus the good food!
My right foot is making my life hell. Nothing the physiotherapist suggested changed anything, but it does feel better a few hours after my husband massages it. Honestly, it's crying pain which meds don't relieve much or sometimes not at all.
Hope you all have a lovely evening!

Good morning....up early for my "procedure", no idea how I actually managed to sleep from 2:30 'til now, but somehow I did. I don't want to see apple juice ever again.
DD will write her exam this afternoon at 2pm, so encouraging thoughts and prayers would be very welcome. She's not hopeful, and is calling this her "practice exam", and thinks she'll have to write again in July, but heaven willing, she'll get it today!
Toodles, everyone...have a wonderful day!!
Whatever you're doing this morning, beats what I'll be doing!

Good morning @Lynn49 . Good luck with your procedure. I am sure your DD will pass her exam. Sending her positive vibes and praying that all goes very good for her.
Well yesterday I was at the fracture clinic. Was told there by the Dr that It is only fractured on the out side which he said I am lucky. I was put into an Air cast for 2 weeks, have to stay off the foot and when I go back he would see if it’s healing well and if not according to him I will have to do surgery. So fingers crossed that I follow his instruction and stay put.
