Beautiful! What are they made from? I could see them hanging in a window, shimmering with the sun

@Lynn49 be kind? lol.... Your crafts are usually top drawer and these coasters prove that. I admire you for jumping into new mediums of crafts that you have not tried before. When I look at those they remind me of a clear glass like candy!! I want to bite into them.
Today DS made up a batch of an amazing new soup ( new to us all ). It's based on a Korean Army soup called Budae Jjigae. DS tweaked ours to our liking.
The base was sauteed onion, celery, bell pepper, sliced mushrooms, carrots to which he stirred in tomato paste, carton chicken broth and a dozen Italian sausages roasted first and cut chunky style. In went black pepper, minced garlic and dried basil.
After some time simmering he tossed in 4 pkgs. of ramen noodles ( discarding those disgusting flavor packets ).
It is absolutely satisfying and hearty! Wish he had made a bigger pot of it.Last edited by walkonby; Wed, Mar 10th, 2021 at 02:54 PM.

Glad I checked in earlier today and thank you for the change in topic from yesterday's puking experiences
I'm a sensitive male-just don't ask DW!.
This sudden warm up is good for the mind and soul, too bad it will be short lived, but take your blessings where/when you can get them!
Got my walk in today but slower, as I believe I twisted my left hind paw while going down the stairs yesterday.
I managed to have two dinners ready tonight.Chicken which I crockpotted yesterday (despite already having a dinner) and a roast which is in the oven now. The chicken was an impulse buy cuz I was at No Frills for something else and it was on sale cheap and it was raised humanely and apparently ate well before having an untimely death. The roast was thawing in the fridge so it needed to be dealt with.
Despite me seemingly not on here long,my body is telling me otherwise.
Hope one and all has had a good day and enjoy your evening!Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

Thank you, @avoncallingu, @walkonby, for the compliments!!
They're made from resin, pearl powders, glitter and crushed silver leaf in the centre and a posca silver marker for the sides and a wee line on the top front. The molds were purchased.
Omgosh, it's such fun playing with the stuff; resin has a mind of its own and likes to do its own thing so the fun is in controlling it and encouraging it to stay where I want it to be. The light colour teal I chose in keeping with the only colour in the kids' home, lol. Although they likely don't need coasters, they really liked them and now I can make something else.
I want to do a pour into a circular white tray I have here for our DD's b'day for camp. When she's curled up in the corner of their sofa on their deck she perches her coffee or wine on the railing on their deck, so I thought this would be a nice addition to the other gifts we're giving her.
@avoncallingu, you're bang on wrt hanging them...I have bookmark molds here that have built in holes so I don't have to dremel them, and I want to make very thin ones, shades of blues, some clear with dried wee flowers in them, and make a sort-of wind-chime for our new gazebo for our camp deck this summer. I think that'll be great fun to make! I'd like to find a thick branch piece to drill through to hang them with monofilament line along with sparkly beads I have here. If it ever turns out I'll post them here. If it doesn't I'll deny every mentioning it.
Oh! Our DD's covid test is negative!! And our GS's report card couldn't have been better, so all's well here thank God.
@cath007, I'll certainly send up a prayer for your Dad's surgery...I believe in the power of prayer and prayer circles so I think he'll be just fine with us behind him.
Okay...over and out for now!
Stay safe and well, everyone!Last edited by Lynn49; Wed, Mar 10th, 2021 at 04:47 PM.

Good morning all.
It’s a beautiful day out today . I would be taking advantage of the weather and spend most of my day outside on my patio. Windows will also get opened to let the stuffiness out of the house. Hoping everyone take advantage of the beautiful weather out
