I wasn't feeling well enough to get to the groceries I needed, so I don't have potatoes or anything else that I really needed for the turkey dinner I had planned for today. I'm just by myself anyway, so will improvise and do some green beans, corn, and pickles with it. If I'm feeling better by Friday and get to the grocery store I will pick up the supplies to do my warm garlic dill potato salad and deviled eggs and have them with the leftovers this weekend.

Making breakfast for supper tonight - bacon, eggs probably over easy, hashbrowns - not sure if using frozen patties, frozen diced, or if I'll feel like making some from scratch, lol!

I know how that feels we never expected to come back sick and even though we still aren't feeling that well we had to go shopping yesterday as we were out of the staples, mostly things like milk, cream, no fresh produce. We were able to do a small shop but hoping to feel better by the weekend to do a large shop.

I went shopping today, so could be burgers, could be meatloaf, could be chicken. Don't think I'll be bbqing, it's too damned cold (something like -30 with windchill, and a blizzard on the way), but I am expecting my new Cuisinart Griddler today from Amazon, maybe I will test drive that with some burgers!

Last night was supposed to be a nice roast beef dinner but by the time the roast was done we were not feeling 100% so we just mashed some potatoes, chucked the roast beef and topped it all with gravy. Kind of a fake upside shepherds pie, it was quite good.

Tonight is a mystery mom is not feeling well so we will have to wait and see what happens.

Hope you're all feeling better! What do you mean by 'chucked'? To me, that means you threw it out, and it doesn't sound like that's what you did.

Had a family get-together yesterday and they gave me the leftover salads, turkey, cookies, etc..I used the turkey to make sandwiches last night..so today, I have a teeny-tiny beef roast in the oven to go with the salads..(Last week,I p/u a few $3.00+ small tip sirloin roasts - great deal!)

I have a ham in the slow cooker and i'll make some mashed potatoes and corn to go with it later. we're renovating the kitchen so cooking is extremely difficult and frustrating. i'll be glad when its done!
