Think I'm going to treat the kids tonight too. Hope to get them out to the park and let them choose where/what they would like to eat. Want to let them enjoy mama's casino winnings a bit too lol

Taking a package of the cabbage rolls I made out of the freezer and throwing them in a pot.
Easy supper tonight. I even put paper plates on the counter to strongly encourage use, lol.

Husband will pick up rotisserie chicken meal from Sobeys on his way home - 10.99 for chicken, salad, and buns. Best chicken in the city, it's just awesome! We'll have the homemade soup from yesterday which is left, and I'll add a bit of a garden salad for me. Husband is happy just having meat and bread.

Yum yum. We are having corned beef and cabbage tonight. Normally I would also make mashed potatoes but the farmer down the road who grows THE best sweet corn in the world had some again today so I bought a dozen ears of those. Screw the potatoes when you can have fresh corn on the cob!!!

Yesterday it rained a lot where I live, so I took advantage of the temperature drop and turned on the oven. I baked banana chocolate chip muffins, a new coconut oatmeal cookie recipe, and baked chicken breasts. I also started to sprount some more mung beans, haven't done that in months. I'm going to use them in some new recipes that I found in the link Natalka shared.
Supper was sliced baked chicken breasts, buttered No Yolk noodles, shelled and boiled garden peas with butter and dill, fruit sauce. We of course had it all with a glass of milk. LO didn't want to eat any of it. He just didn't seem hungry. He ate most of a banana, a muffin, and milk later in the evening.
I rarely follow a recipe, so this fruit sauce was new to me. Orange juice, sliced dried apricots, dried cranberries, a little bit of sugar and some ground ginger. I really liked it. I enjoyed making this and felt fancy.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money

Tonight I think we will have a big deluxe salad. Hopefully dh is feeling up for it after working all day in this heat. It will consist of bagged salad from Sobeys bogo sale (plus 10% off), cucumber (on sale -25c rebate), cellery (pm'd WM 97c), radishes from the Hutterites, yellow pear tomatoes from my garden, pecans, leftover roast chicken breast from last night, maybe some cubed marble cheese. I think it sounds pretty good right now. My migraine is hurting something nasty and I took meds 2hrs ago.... We are currently under a severe thunderstorm watch and earlier in the day they had issued a warning about tornadoes.

It's a little cooler in here today. So I am going to make some potatoes and a beef roast- nice and early before it gets too hot.

I have some leftover ham & turkey ,swiss cheese, tomatoes, onion, roasted red peppers, fresh bread so think I will make Panini's to keep it simple..I don't have a Panini maker, I just use a regular fry pan, place a piece of wax paper or tinfoil over the bread and lay a cast iron pan on-top of the sandwich.
