Yesterday, husband picked up food from the Gk place at a mall food court - dry ribs for him; chicken fingers, fries, and Caesar salad for me. There has to be something said for getting food near 8 p.m., the portions were huge! I got an extra chicken piece than usual, at least double the fries, and enough salad to feed a family of six.
So, leftovers tonight.

Day 28!!!!!!!! I'm so happy I made it through the my no shop feb challenge.
I kept it simple last night and did rotini pasta and a jarred pasta sauce with spices and more fresh garlic added.
Hopefully I will get a bit of shopping done today if I have time.

I did some number crunching and I couldn't be happier with my challenge this month.
I found that I saved $803.42 in groceries and what I call cr@p spending. Since my work load has more than doubled and my income has increased I've found that we tended to eat out more, grab the more expensive yet time saving foods and also "treat" ourselves to things like Starbucks,etc... Not only did we save $$$ but a side benefit has been the decreased food waste. It literally has only been things like peels and the stuff you'd normally throw out! While it was tough at times I loved it and will definitely do it again.

Boston clam chowder...one of my husbands favourites. He usually has two big bowls so I don’t think I’ll make anything to go with.
