I did 36 years, my DH started at his job in 1973, so this Sept it will be his 41st year, but we must bow down to your DH!! 44 years??! He is a trooper! Oh honestly that nonsense and the delay it caused in processing his pension till they get their precious union dues first, pffft!! Idiots. Glad you'll both be sittin pretty soon enough, so nice to look forward to that. Congrats to you both again.

the financial details of the retirement stipend is a bit scary, but I am sure once he does find out what the monthly deposit will be you'll both feel better. Gosh I never even think about " pay day " anymore, it just goes in at the end of each month, so simple. Adjustments to having each other around daily I feel that will be the stickier part, but it seems like old pros like you two will handle it just fine ( lol @ " till one of us croaks! " )

You know when I came to realize DS #1 was NOT moving back home after Univ, I actually bawled like a baby ( when no one was around) but now it is all worth it to see he is his own man! He never would have become who is is if he had been here. Thanks. ( it will be the worst when DD leaves....my baby! lol

fantastic news about your Mom!! There is a neighbour here that my son clears snow for and we just found out he is 96!! I mean Herb always looked elderly when I used to bring the mail around when I delivered this street, but I just had no idea he was that old. Speaking of which, I am feeling upwards of 90 myself the last 2 days ( arthritis) with major swollen wrist, and foot. ( mobility issues and that toothache kind of pain ), but I still feel like the luckiest gal in the world that I did not have to go out to work. Enjoy your hubby time!

I know, I wanted to find my own greeting without copying anyone elses and technologicaly challenged to say the least and tried to follow the instructions of the album thingy and do not know what the greetings are called and how to do it without getting codes and this is how my heartfelt greeting came out in marquis format so a little bit of scroling but the message is there, on my own.
