The Sat/Sun cooked foods almost lasted the whole week, but I had to make a new batch of vegetarian soup today, and some more homemade GF breaded chicken breast fillets. Also put another GF mix into the breadmaker once I got home and it is cooked already!

Tonight was my turn for Prime Rib and it was really good. I picked up some steaks at one of the stores when they were on sale for $4.99/lb, its just DH and I so not as expensive as it would be to feed a big family (so each steak was approx $5.50). So we BBQ'd those..and I had a lot of mashed potato left over from yesterday that I just couldn't see go to waste, so I made potato cakes and fried them up and they were really good. I also p/u a pack of baby spinach for $2.99 so I sauteed about 1/2 in some garlic oil and some mushrooms so a fairly inexpensive Prime Rib dinner for 2. And DH took my leftover steak to work in a sandwich..lol...

Everyone is invited to thriftygranny's house tonight!!! ha ha..Last week when I made ribs, I made LOTS and froze the leftovers so I took those out and will have with rice, use up the rest of my spinach and some other veggies--maybe make a stir-fried rice!
