Ribs ($2/lb), potatoes with onions, coleslaw or some steamed veggies with a glass of milk.

I am thinking about baking buns this week. Last time I baked buns was over 10yrs ago. They were heavy. Just last week I was given a copy of Grandma's bun recipe. I found it particularly touching because my mom gave me the recipe...this was my mom's MIL...but my parents have been divorced for 26yrs and she still uses this recipe. Grandma went into long term care nearly 4yrs ago now. I'm hoping to do the recipe justice. I bake all kinds of goodies, just never got into baking bread.

Made a favorite of my mom's recipes for chicken (only make it twice a year, oy on the calories!), had it with rice baked with peas and carrots, with the butter and juices from the chicken poured overtop, plus a sweetly dressed salad.

Oh, I ate so very much, and so did everyone else, lol!

Yesterday was a huge party at MIL's and we had curry & meatballs, rice, lemon chicken, Greek lemon potatoes, an amazing lentil salad with grilled veggies and then came the desserts...... chocolate mouse, fresh raspberry terrine, and apple crisp (All homemade by MIL).

Tonight is "clean out the fridge" soup

Tonight was basketball night for DS, so it's grab what you can because we're really short on time. I ended up with turkey, black beans (cooked in the crockpot today) mushrooms, onions and peppers.
