i knew it was the right thing to do.. i had to do something i couldn't just ignore it and have nothing change it has gone on long enough (thinking back to last year too and the constant lateness) hopefully it will all blow over.. and i hope for the kid's sake that negativity about the situation isn't pushed on the child causing tension between the girls as friends/ruining the friendship (they have done alot of things together and are very close until today... heck for the end of the school year i made all 3 of them matching dresses!)
i'll admit i'm a bit of a "helicopter parent" but i'm trying to make efforts to break that... i'm trying to give my child freedoms for her to grow and express herself without watching over her shoulder... but still close enough to encourage positive play and i don't step in unless there are tears
our school lets the older classes out onto the school grounds but the younger grades (Kindy and gr 1) need a parent or guardian to collect them, most kids get picked up right away (they run out of the school to meet the parents waiting at cars, or parents standing outside the school doors since the hallways can get a tad crowded with 20 parents for each classroom waiting) and 10 min after the bell maybe 30-40 kids are still at the schoolground (on a good sunny day though on a rainy blah day it might be 15 kids) but by 3:30 it's often just a handful of kids maybe a dozen with most of them being part of our social park parents group the after school supervisors are pretty decent they know all the kids names (since most the kids are regulars) they try to learn the parents names when possible and they want to do best by the kids.... it's not all that often that there's an issue like this that comes up i think this situation is sort of one of these 1 off situations..When life hands you Edward Cullen...throw him back and demand Eric Northman....

DH is going to help a buddy with harvest.. But this is going to cost us at least $200.00 for fuel and his buddy hasn't offered to offset the cost.

You did say this person is a "buddy" right..I mean do you charge your friends all the time to help them out? If you had said acquaintance now, that would have been different. This ought to be in the "first world problem" thread. In 3rd world countries, it takes a village to raise a child

That is it. We are switching farm insurance companies. I received an email today from the adjuster saying that they need a copy of the police report and to send it to them. So off I run into town to get this. Turns out the adjuster has to send a request to the RCMP for the copy of the report. The officer told me that the adjuster should know that and not to have sent me in for it. I hate dumb people.

Hopefully he uses farm gas and will just repay that way. It is backbreaking hard work and the time he gives should be enough to cover the buddy code.Gas should be covered for him, the free labor he is getting should be enough. I think you have to understand the grueling hours of harvest and the work that goes with it to understand! He must have roasted out there today,24 degrees, he will be tired when he gets home. Considering they are probably out in the fields for an 11 hour day and the average joe farmhand in Alberta makes about 20.00 an hour he is saving him 220.00 a day in labor, your DS is a good buddy!!

Sorry. I thought that one was funny, don't worry not too much time was consumed. It is on the first page of Google.
Now all my ads on SC are clearly contacts related.
