Yes, I still use and buy incandescent bulbs. Know for a fact that the no-name bulbs should never be used in a service lamp-the bulb just self destructs. Love frosted/soft white ones but not clear...

That's a good point, newb. I burn high quality pure beeswax candles with cotton wicks so there's not much gunk floating through the air, but I will keep a closer eye on the furnace filter this...

I thought I was one of the few left that still use incandescent light bulbs...I hate the new ones, burns out quickly, noise, the way the room lights up seems more industrial, not cozy!! I stocked up...

my pet peeve with the new bulbs was " what if it slips out of my hands while I am precariously on the step ladder in mid change ? " I'd need a hazmat suit to clean it up. And my pets!!? You know...
