I was very frustrated with BFing at the beginning too. Noah was 11 pounds at birth and the first thing they did after he was born was feed him an entire bottle of formula. I had to supplement with formula for the first month until my milk came in enough to handle his feeding schedule. You do what is best for you and your family, if that means switching to formula, do it! I fought and fought with everyone and their mother because I was so determined not to give up on breastfeeding and it did eventually pay off in the end, but at the time, it just made everything seem harder!

I was so doped up because my epideral ran out half way through my c-section so they plunged three needles full of drugs into my IV in rapid succession. Then I threw up on DH three times. LOL. Oh well, he never teases me about it, which I'm grateful for.

It will be hard with DH gone all day long. Just make sure he knows that when he gets home, his first priority is taking over for an hour. Yes, he had to work all day and needs to unwind, but you've been in an unfamiliar and stressful situation. Take a bath, read a book, do whatever you need to to relax for a few minutes.

SLEEP WHEN THE BABY SLEEPS. SLEEP WHEN THE BABY SLEEPS. SLEEP WHEN THE BABY SLEEPS!!!!!!! <--- most important advice ever!

Congratulations Caitie, she is beautiful! I go back to work on Monday. Enjoy every minute of it! (Okay, that's a little unrealistic because for the first six months you'll probably alternate between wanting to kill her, your bf or yourself - that's actually perfectly normal. Even my pediatrician said she felt like that too!) But once she starts sleeping through the night and smiling and giggling and laughing and talking and crawling and walking = well, the time will just zoom by!

If you need anything (advice, an ear) don't hesitate to ask please! I spent the first two months home completely miserable because I thought I was the worst mom in the world for occasionally wanting to chuck Noah out the window because I was too afraid to tell anyone about it. The day my DH confessed he wanted to chuck him off the balcony too at times was great! (And then the time he dropped him in the bath tub after I let him fall off the couch - also made me feel much better!) LOL.

Hi Caitie! The little guy was sick all last week and now I'm sick! We're getting ready for Easter (I was about to type next weekend and realized it's THIS weekend EEK!) and starting to look into Daycare for when I go back to work in a little over a month. I hate the thought of it, but I'm sure once I am back and settled into a routine everything will (hopefully) be okay. How are you doing? You must be getting really anxious now to have this all over and done with! ♥

Thanks for the recommendation! We've just finished our office and one of our spare bedrooms. Tackling the craft room next and then finally the kitchen. I can't wait! I hate our 80's cabinets

You're welcome!!!! I'm so glad you liked it, I was a little worried about going so baby crazy since I know from my own recent pregnancy that sometimes you can feel a little lost with everyone being so focused on the little one! *hugs*

Thanks for the rep Caitie and the friend request! I know exactly how you are feeling, I remember being so excited and soooooo scared at the same time, but you will get through it. The first few months are hard, not gonna lie, but once your LO starts smiling and giggling at you, ohhhhhhhhhh you will just melt! *hugs*

About couponclippercaitie
Location:
Saint John, New Brunswick
Interests:
Spending time with my wonderful husband and beautiful daughter! Also, shopping, baking & cooking! :)
Occupation:
Full time Mama <3
Gender:
Female
Trade List:
I don't have a trades list as I find it far too difficult to keep it updated since I started riding trains, but I DO have quite the wishlist! Please let me know if you have something on my list and we can work something out I'm sure. I have most of the latest inserts, tearpads, and online coupons; I usually have no problem fulfilling a reasonable wishlist . FYI my wishlist is only graded into points values to keep it easier to copy+paste when joining trains. Also, I try to keep trades at a minimum of $5 to make it worth the postage. Coupons that have *RRRLF marked beside or coupons worth 2 and 3 points are worth more to me than their face value. I'd be willing to trade more for these particular ones. Feel free to PM me with any questions!

Thanks in advance!!!
