ugh! sons!! how sweet of him to remember you when he is using his free razors, lol. I know I have that too, my guys are not all lovey dovey mush mouths, we know they love us, but geesh sometimes mine seem a tad insensitive. Thank goodness for my DD I guess. Yeah Millie, you said it, the Xmas decorating it is about the dragging everything out, the mess. Last year I was into it 100%, but not this year. Maybe I will start an alternate decorating scheme tradition, 1 year on, one off. ha ha

well I must be lazy too, no tree is going up this year because of Hamlet ( new-ish cat) but really I am just too pooped to even start! I am hosting the dinner for maybe the 7 or 8 (just family really) so that is enough. Not one gift bought yet because by golly they have everything they need already, so do I but I will have to put together some gag things maybe. I like the extreme couponer as Santa, way to go Millie!

yes, me too! If the RCSS or the Loblaws has free stuff I am so there! Today I did take advantage of 2 different coupons ( 1 off the board, 1 printed at home) for the Air Wick crap ( DS is a huge fan) They had these bonus packs on for $6.99 with a bunch of things in it, minus $5.00 and another one for save $5.00 wys $10.00 for the Freshomatic Starter kits ( I am unsure is $9.99 was a sale, but he will be getting all of these types of things for his b'day and Christmas, lol!! ) DD just earned her own 20,000 bonus PC points today, she is thrilled ( new card holder), I mean they do carry makeup, Joe Fresh stuff, so that is easy for her to redeem. Man we are wimps with the cold weather here, I am freezing, and we do not even have snow yet, lol

RCSS and Loblaws here are always overpriced, ( for most evrything! ) so when I consider using my loaded offers to get bonus points, I usually see if any other store has the same product cheaper first. However, NF is always great for sales, but then I cannot get the loaded offers used there...grrr! lol I have close to $70.00 available in free grocery money now in points, but I just might save that for the lean times in early Jan. ha ha

I sent DD for Young Drivers course but after all the road lessons she took ( 13 of them! ) she still does not feel confident to take the road test.....she has up to 5 years to take it I think?? Oh well, I will not force the issue, when she is ready she will know. Good luck on the hwy stuff with SIL.

I hope I never have to teach anyone to drive ever, have I bored you with how I got my license just shy of 40 years old, then took a few months to get the guts to take the vehicle out myself? lol...other people would not benefit from me as a driving coach.

we are just too pumped up to sleep in, being off work I want to make the most of every day, DH also does not want to sleep away his week either, we are already discussing the glass shower door he is putting in the upstairs bathroom ( hooray!) oh Millie, what a terrific soul you are! I know when someone's face lights up from your generousity, well you know it just feels great! We are nearly done the " musical rooms " thing. DS is now settled in well to his " new room" and we have most of the clutter out of the basement and stored in his old room. whew! It was tough on the back and knees, now we am on vac this week, relaxing time!!

well I thought my vet was nuts the very first time she " suggested " this procedure for one of mine. I actually told DH, did you know Murphy needs hygienist's work done? We ignored it at first, but as Murphy aged, I started to understand the relation to gum health and overall health ( heart etc), so I booked him in and he was anesthetized and looked amazing after. Fast forward to this year now Rufus started to also show signs of very bad tarter so I buckled under and had them both done. ( Murphy was due for another by this time) Oh and yeah, btw, " grinning? " a vet should know how tough these expenses are on a family budget...bad vet! lol

I found it a bit discouraging to read all those posts that were crucifying the grandmother of that little toddler who died in the hot car. It was discouraging because we all make mistakes...and we are so darned busy and distracted that it's easy enough to make a mistake. About 6 years ago there was a case in either Toronto or Montreal where a dad forgot to drop his kid at daycare and the baby died from sitting in the overheated car--that one really stood out because to be honest, I could see the very same thing happening to my scatterbrained DH and our daughter was roughly the same age at the time. And really--do they need us to crucify them? I'm sure they will crucify themselves on a daily basis for having screwed up. I can't even imagine how that poor family finds the courage to get out of bed in the morning.
