I was talking with my son a while back, and we agreed how much better/easier life would be if we were simpler folk. I mean that in a serious way, those people who are truly happy-go-lucky without cares in their lives - they just take things as they are.Last edited by Natalka; Tue, Jul 2nd, 2019 at 06:02 PM.

news bulletin for @Lynn49 ( jokes )
perhaps Preeta and Suda would enjoy this??
Oh and also Lynn, to post these I must first scan a physical print of the photo in my scanner, then I " save it as " in desktop.
I click GO ADVANCED in the green box that is next to POST QUICK REPLY.
Scroll down a bit and hit MANAGE ATTACHMENTS, a new box comes up , hit Add Files, then browse to find where the scan was saved to, then click on the actual scan file, and hit UPLOAD.
You can always hit Preview post before you hit submit post to see if the scan is there is highlighted blue form
Hope this helps some??
A quick thanks for the compliments from those who were able to view the picture of the new deck/path.
My sis made a sincere compliment about DH along the lines of " my goodness, your DH does such great work, this deck and pathway looks pro! " and I could not resist a dig at his expense saying " yeah, he's a lot smarter than he appears! "
Of course I said it within earshot of him because I know how he loves my silliness and sarcasm.
So we did not get the rain after all ..... it sure looked and felt like it might and then nada! Maybe later tonight.
Blue Jays against Red Sox starting at 7 p.m. !!

Not the best day for picture-taking... it's grey and rainy right now, but here's my catalpa tree with the smoke tree in front of it.

Lol....omgoodness, @walkonby , if anyone tries that on either princess cat they'll wish they hadn't! But how cute is that?!
@GoJays , those trees are absolutely stunning!!! Oh, to start all over again...the things I would plant!!!
@Newfiescreech , thank you so much...I hope we see many more years together, too!!
@Natalka , I know exactly what you mean and our DD and I were talking about that roughly a year ago....ignorance really IS bliss!! Just going along their days, la-la-la-la....not a thought in their dense heads...
..must be wonderful! Bwahahahahaha!!!!!!
Also @GoJays ...that little non-murderous little muffin is so sweet, but all I could focus on is: someone is in desperate need of a manicure!!! GAH!!!

Hello everyone!
Gorgeous sunset off my balcony.
Those trees are amazing, GoJays!
We've had a couple of soaker downpours with predictions of more over night.
I should hustle the girlie outside for a late walk. Not sure when the next showers are expected.
I was supposed to drive food bins around to needy families tomorrow but you have to be able to lift 30 lb. bins. So I won't be doing that until we come up with a solution. Like divide up the bins into smaller ones or find a partner who can lift them.
I bought myself some more flowers today in anticipation of the maintenance people cleaning off my balcony of bird droppings.
I hope that is soon.
The little lady nextdoor has an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow morning, but they told her to expect a long wait. 29 people broke bones over the weekend. I hope they take her quickly, - she broke it last Wed., after all. Her son is going with her.
My baby brother's 50th is tomorrow. The evening he was born is the reason that I have never consumed rye whiskey since! (Oh dear....)
Then just after that we landed on the moon. (There are those who do believe it, @Lynn49 😉
Well, it's walk time. I had better get dressed again!

Too bad you're not closer to me avon, I could lift the bins

I think I'm going to go pass out now. It's been a long day for me.

Happy Hump Day everyone!!
A bright eyed start to another week day here. Shell gave me an exclusive bonus air mile offer good only on July 10th ( gotta remember to go on that day ) Apparently I'll get one bonus air mile for EACH litre I pump ( any grade of fuel ) , up to 100 litres.
I posted a pic of the finished cross stitch thing I made here. For all the work involved I should refer to it as my " cross-fit-stitch " ha ha

It will be a lazy day for the most part, unless something snaps in my brain and I decide to clean something?

Good morning @walkonby your finish cross stitch product is beautiful . I also admired your spice cabinet it’s amazing.
Not much going on here I will be reading and may be napping for most of the day . Can’t really have a good night sleep with this Air cast on my foot.
Have a great day all

Lovely cross stitch @walkonby
I knew which kit it was when you described it. I used to cross stitch constantly before and just after the kids were born. And then life happened and haven't done it since. I must have about 20 kits in my closet ready to be worked on. Not the little 5x5 inch ones, I'm talking the big ones that take months and months to complete. Maybe one day I'll spend as much time on them again as I do on other things.... like the internet
Damn technology. Speaking of damn technology...
