Happy Valentine's Day!

I fin that shower curtains can be so expensive, especially the ones I seem to like. What I've done many many times is to use a flat bed sheet, add some button holes to the top for the hooks and voila, a beautiful curtain in any pattern you want for a fraction of the price. Then I just get a cheaper clear curtain for behind it. Do you have a sewing machine? It's amazing how nice they look. Sometimes improvising is better. These would have cost upwards of $40, but you can make them at home for less than $20 (if you get a great clearance bin less than $10).

Thanks for the reps hun. You're doing fabulous with Frugal February. I find myself wanting to go shopping ( I don't need anything, it's just a habit) but I don't. I'm sticking it out, but look out March! I was at the premium outlet mall with a friend last week and I found a pair of true religion jeans that fit me to a tee. It's hard for me to find good jeans but these ones were so perfect. I was soooo tempted, thank god for frugal February. They were a great price, 50% off so they were $135....I may go back in March, I haven't decided yet, if I do, I hope they're still on sale. At the outlet mall they usually are. I know it seems like a lot. I don't buy clothes very often, but when it's something that fits good, I will pay. My weigh has been fairly steady lately so I'm happy I'm keeping it on

Oy! I feel for ya on that choice. I am so glad all our b'days are done here! We are all Sept to Feb!!, with Xmas in between, Rough going, then smooth sailing, good luck and don't eat no KFC that stuff will kill ya! lol

See that was my point, and when my DH kept saying " you are wasting your time doing everything in off peak hours, because as soon as they lose money with everyone doing that, they bump the rates....which they have already done. ( grrr!) Not just them either, look at Bell?? Every bloody year!

Good morning. Good luck with the hamburger buns. I slept like a log last night too. Housework will get done today as I won't be going anywhere...it is snowing like crazy here..

I really zonked right out, I mean Hamlet could have eaten all my toes, I don't think I would have felt it or woken up, lol. Am desperately trying to get a good GF recipe to work that makes nice soft hamburger bun for DH. It is his weakness, personally I go without the bun, always did even when I wasn't doing GF, just found the bun was too filling with everything else. Wish me luck, they are rising now...well they are supposed to be, I should peek in there.

well i filled out all the info on her computer for her, she sat there and watched me enter all the lines and stuff. Then she took over, and next thing I know she's like " yeah I'll do it tomorrow" Well really, I do know she has assignments that are piling up, the Univ workload is a shock for 1st yr kids. I'll cut her a break for a little bit then. Well my dear, I must say goodnight, been up since the early a.m., zonking out now. Talk to you tomorrow!

I remember her asking me for DH and my tax info and stuff, got it all for her in 2 minutes ( organized here) and then she let everything sit unfinished because she had to print off a form and write on it! ( lol!!!) Guess she was tired, who knows?

man I was just reminded from reading a thread that my DS did NOT finish applying for that 30% discount on her Univ tuition!! Oh I am ticked ! Get on it I told her, that is big $$ coming back in this house. lol.

Oh sorry, sad back story. Ok, kids that small take everything literally, we were new parents, so what did we know? One meal he asked " what is this " and we both said " fish " because that's what it was. Well his eyes welled up with tears, his face went sad, then he got up from the table and ran down to the 100 gallon fish tank in the basement and started looking frantically in it! OMG I should NOT be laughing. We had to explain that NO we did not eat those fish, these were other fish in the ocean, well after that everything was called chicken as we did not have any pet chickens for him to fret about, lol!!

Kind of like every time my DS#1 ( when he was 2-3 yrs old ) asked " what's this" at dinner...we both said " chicken " lol!!!

Oh I hope it works, I know the tenderness is wonderful with the consistency of the mashed chick peas, but it must be a covert operation if it is to work. Shhhhhh, lol!

The chick pea conspiracy of 1997 ( or there abouts) was when I was making my own meatballs. I was trying to stretch the meat AND provide nutrition for the 3 kids. I mashed 'em up good, mixed with the ground meat, seasoned, they raved over them. Things like " ohh! they are sooo tender " Then one fateful day, my DH bit into his meatball and saw a half a chick pea!! You would have thought it was a worm the way he squirmed. After that he started to suspect everything, imagine the nerve of me feeding him healthy things behind his back, like the zucchini I grated into their chocolate cake, should never have told them that either. I did that sugar thing in sauce too but my addiction to sugar had me putting in a bit more each time, they disliked the sweet taste, so I omitted it altogether. But...up until this diet, I used to pour about 2 tblsp of real maple syrup on my serving of pasta instead of grated parmesan! They all thought I was crazy! I had to give that up too.

perfect! yes, I have to hide it from him and just see if he comments about the taste after. I did that totally successful years ago with Becal! he swore up and down he knew the taste of it and I put no name el cheapo margarine in the Becal tub, he never batted an eye, Then I told him ( STUPID!) and ribs me about it every now and then. Like if he goes to eat something he says ...did you mash up and hide chick peas in this? lol ( he does not like eating them he says)

Marc Angelo is my DH's weakness. I wonder if he'd notice if I boiled them a bit first? That is an experiment I need to try. Thanks again for the tip!

if I did that to bacon my DH would say I was sucking all the goodness out of it, lol! Funny, I actually prefer lean peameal to the strips of " fatty " things that disappear when you fry them...but still I have to avoid because I cannot just eat " some " I overeat it always. Anyways, I am certain my tests will be all good, in that it will give me answers finally.

bacon...NO.....but I do love it...it is the salt that is bad for me. So I had booked my ultrasound tests for today ( just did not clue in it was the actual b'day when iIdid it...it was like this when the nurse said " is next Wed o.k.?...and I'm like off work...so yeah sure ) to try and get some medical answers to things that are going whacky with my body.Might as well get 'er done while I am not working.

She is strangly smart for a cat. She observes, and peeps. If another cat is sleeping in her spot, she will trick them out of bed, then take over the spot. She also knows how to remove the screen from bsement window so she can go outside. If you go under my profile, then under Albums, there is one called 'The Vesper Zoo'. I just uploaded a pic of her, the black and white one upside down peeping.
