I've never heard of boiling cabbage rolls? I am familiar with the boiling of the cabbage to loosen the leaves though. The large casserole pans I used to place these rolls in are sitting in and almost covered over with either tomato juice ( I had none left this time ) or Passata ( I still had lots of bottles left of this ).
These sure are a treat though, they firmed up so nicely once in the fridge and served easily.

I agree about the dealerships and the way they take advantage of seniors ( women especially! ) Our oil change and a brake job meant I would have to go home and come back, but I needed to drive DD to work, so they ordered me a rental vehicle at no charge, was there in 5 minutes. Paperwork done fast, I was able to take my DD to work and when I returned their rental the work was all done on our vehicle.

your post about fiddle-heads made me chuckle. Our memory of them ? We all hated the taste but really wanted to like them as they are so unique looking.

About your Chinese Restaurant post: With Mandarin here you have to order over the phone and then drive by curbside to P.U. We live JUST outside of their delivery area, so we have to pick it up. It was so delicious, best menu items and it was all so fresh!
