Wow! Thank you so much for those memories....I loved those dinners....and Bewitched too
.
I deprived my older son of KD too...I used to make this amazing dish with macaroni and cottage cheese. I'm going to have look that recipe up, it's been so long!
I'm going to have to try that. Thanks for sharing.
Sounds like a wonderful time was had by all.
The summer squash was finally ready to be picked tonight....we had fried squash, zucchini, and Hungarian peppers with tomatoes (and a wee bit of cucumbers) and bbq'd sausages. I mix a little garlic, onion, safflower oil and red wine vinegar for the tomatoes. Love sopping up the "juice" with some crusty bread. For desert, I had a heaping bowl of strawberries.~RRLF $0.75 Organic Meadow, $1 Almond Fresh~

Last night for supper we had chicken strips (from Giant Tiger, their best value brand, big box was 2.50) - actually decent taste, awesome coating!; KD and a huge Caesar salad.

i'm trusting my hubby to fix dinner 'cause by the time i get home from work he'll be gone for the nite shift. So he's supposed to make loola kabobs when he gets up. It's a recipe we found on food network and have been using it. If i remember correctly it's ground beef, cumin, onion, parsley, paprika, garlic, chili powder. We'll have the kabobs with pita bread, tomato, lettuce and tzatziki sauce. Can't wait!!

Oh VeeVee that sounds like SO much fun, I'm jealous!!
Well after eating nasty nasty hospital food for a week, I am going to make myself some yummy butter chicken, rice, and naan bread. That should take the sour taste out of my mouth LOL

Besides oven baked chicken drums, salad, cauliflower, I made the best bruschetta!
We had left-over store-bought Guacamole in the fridge, so after I toasted the sliced Italian bread in the oven, I spread a fairly generous amt on each slice, then my bruschetta mix (cherry tomatoes and basil from our garden, then the garlic, olive oil), sprinkled with some finely shredded cheddar and popped it in the oven just until melted, and OMG!!! The guacamole under my bruschetta mix was amazing!
If you want a nice, spicy treat, try it. I could have eaten only that for dinner!!
