I think they target who they want to target with these CC offers, and we are no longer a young family that will spend, spend, spend, we are old fogies who are clutching our CC's tightly! ha ha ha ha !!!

agh!!! NOO!!! I never was offered that! ( jealous!! ha ha ) It sounds great and the rewards are generous. Perfect timing because now no bothering with the RBC Optimum. I will keep my eyes open for any email offer from them, maybe I'll even phone them!!

Yes, I think it will take a bit of time to figure out our best SDM options now. I've gone under the threshold for the 8k and 16k ones you mentioned and the 3k wus $10 which works most of the time but haven't tried going under on the 22k wus $100. Believe it or not, I've started using my coupons at Rexall for their airmiles promos. Airmiles isn't great in Ontario (much better in BC), but sometimes sales, coupons and airmile promos just fit what I am looking for. Mostly though, I'm still loyal to SDM, girls never want anything from Sephora anymore, one daughter almost her whole Christmas is paid for in Shoppers points which is great, I also redeem for their electronics quite often.

Good for you Amira, sounds like a great card to have. Might have to look into that one further when life gets a little less busy.

As far as Shoppers goes, I plan on continuing to shop there if they continue to make it worthwhile and so far they have. I expected the glitches to end, just a matter of time.

My biggest disappointment is the weekly coupons, other than the main ones, most of them aren't that great anymore, just too many restrictions and poor match up with sales. I probably average 1 a week on each card and usually only by shopping Friday night to get the next week's sales. I'm still loving the main coupons though, 16k wus $60 and 8k wus $30 is still 48% back on regular redemption so if the sales fit, I'll be shopping there.

I was just asking as it sounds like a great card to have. 3% is pretty awesome for places you shop regularly. We just cancelled an AMEX card so I may consider seeing if we qualify for one.

It was also nice to see a nice positive post on the day they closed the SDM gift card glitch lol. Life goes on, we knew it was coming lol.

Thanks for the heads up on those Elizabeth Arden ceramide capsules .... when I had looked over the box I thought they were the type of beads you throw in the bath - lol .... Tried one - felt very nice on the skin - used it under a foundation and it was lovely.... Haven't used it long enough to see any noticeable change but from reading on-line some people swear by this product. I really like the sample of the Revlon foundation the photofinish one .... Gave most of the rest of the samples to my niece to try -- just kept the anti-wrinkle stuff I really need to learn how to do a better job of applying make up ..... Didn't get up to too much at SDM this week - been busy -- hopefully next week they still have some good cosmetic deals

Hey Amira! I hope you are doing well!! I have been cutting back on alot of my SDM shopping, since I am moving in a couple weeks (closer to many SDM's WOOHOO!!) LOL Now for my question....I want to take advantage of this week's beauty event, but I am undecided which way I want to go.....so many great offers in addition to some great personal offers .....I know you have a Lise Waitier collection, and I have never bought any of it.....do you love it?? And is the waterproof stuff any good??? I am trying to decide if I want to buy LW stuff, or go for the Lancome big offer.....either way I go, it will be like getting it all close to free, with the points return Usually I use Makeup Forever Aqua Eyes for my waterproof stuff....but like we agreed before, SDM points are way better than Sephora points

yes! ( to the green onions ) I am NOT that good at keeping anything alive in a pot but I grew green onions!! Plus my DD loves them, so it was really neat to go out back and pick them fresh! As far as spending time with other women without your kids, it can be scary. We often use our kids as a sort of barrier, or a shield that insulates us from anything bad out in the world. I am FROM Canada but I did that with my work and my DH/kids. Never made time for anyone but them. My older G'F's from both high school/University I only kept in touch through CP mail, maybe a phone call every 6 months or so, but even then we usually just exchanged our kids school photos with each other, so I think it is common to ignore the rest of the world when you have your own special one at your fingertips.

My sis who shops often at SDM had a good chuckle at my " new " measly Optimum balance, but as we both know she buys plenty of make up there, so.....whatever eh? ha ha We are so so excited here! The Blue Jays sure made a huge noise by beating the NY Yankees in all 3 games this weekend! ( a sweep as they call it ) Cannot wait till their next game on Tuesday night. Have a fabulous evening!!

I havent been to SDM since the beginning of the month. I used the 4k bday coupon and bought the Cadbury chocolate (the week it was on CO51) and that's been it... I did receive a good personalized coupon this weekend; 8k wus 30$. I was going to use it (I think it's one of the better ones for the amount that I shop) but it was just too nice this weekend to be indoors But now I wonder when I'll get this offer again...they dont seem to come by too often! My SDM activity has been crickets, so I really dont have much to contribute on the thread, other than post my offers lol

Oh Amira! I love how you used every possible space available to store your paper towels! I saw the first pic (toilet paper/paer towels) and then scrolled down and couldn't help but laugh. You are pretty stocked up!

ha ha! I had " hinted " that I wanted that planter box moved to the front yard about 2 weeks ago.......DH did not get the hint I guess. Then DS ( who is very strong ) was sleeping and I was just too impatient and thought I could do it myself. So glad I did not trip over any pets on the way through the hallway, that would have been a mess of dirt to clean up. OH!!! and my DH yesterday FINALLY sandpapered a few spots on the garage door and repainted it nice again....mind you I had to find the can of paint and brush in the basement for him. Then when it was all done he kept bragging about " did you see how nice that door looks now? , like new! " ha ha
