I know there are not as many very large families around compared to when I was growing up, but still buying just 2 of anything is not even worth the gas to go shopping. When you said this was the Ajax store is that the one near Westney and Hwy 2? THAT one I go to only if I have dropped DD to work and am heading back home again.

wait a minute! You mean at FreshCo now I cannot even buy like 6 cans of soup ( not on sale ) ? How can that help the store make money? They have gone bonkers with a limit of 2 items perhaps. I can understand for pm-ing but not for regular price items.

that is so awful that you got a " less than " letter carrier. Sometimes I found it embarrassing to be lumped into that category of worker because I was so darn conscientious when it came to delivering mail. Then again I was raised with a solid work ethic, not everyone was. Sure hope your parcel arrives before July 2nd!

Does he mean his deductions from his pay for his benefits while he is still working are lower than what he would pay as a retiree? I guess so? Honestly I cannot even remember what I paid for my coverage when I was still working. That is too sad about arguing over coffee, but negotiations bring out the worst in people. The lawyers benefit from that every time.

CP employees do get medical and dental coverage upon retirement ( family option is there if you need it ) BUT you have to apply for it weeks before you actually retire. So that makes no sense to me that the wife of the letter carrier would think she is not covered after he leaves work? Now, naturally you pay for this coverage each month through premiums, just like when you are working and covered. CP has done this before ( suspended all benefits coverage ) when I was still employed there during the last strike and subsequent lock out. It is just how they roll....nasty all the way. They won't negotiate fairly, THEN they lock employees out, then sit back and wait for the gov't to order the workers back.
