smart move on avoiding certain aggravating foods and or drinks. Glad you got some answers with your results. Coffee is my LOVE/HATE thing. I have gone long stretches with none a few times, relying on great herbal teas and also gluten free bouts that had my tummy me feel amazing....but I always slip and fall back into old habits and cravings. Happened again just 1 1/2 weeks ago as I started baking Christmas goodies and making entrees all to freeze until the 25th. I feel a NY resolution coming Dec 31st! lol

Oh yes, I got some sunshine while carting the yard bags to the curb! Mr Wind is a tad too much for my compromised torso, so no walk to the plazas today. Got to distract myself with other doings and more tea!

I've never been on Twitter ( also i would have no idea how with no cell phone....lol ) but I have enjoyed watching the Late Night hosts have celebs read mean tweets out loud that people have posted about them. Talk about cruel!

awww, ty about that huge cake. It's actually DD's fav. I cry now when I look at the number on it....when the hell did she grow up to reach 28? Behind my back for sure.
We had so many roasted veggies that DS ( middle one ) and I were in heaven. We still cannot get eldest DS or DD to eat any squashes, zucchini, sweet potato, cauliflower or bell peppers??
They must me nuts because those are some of the sweetest tasting when roasted. They both head straight for the regular spuds and corn.

Just about to head downstairs for the Jays game, but wanted to mention the same old running joke I used to make wrt any hummus, liverwurst spread OR even liver and onions in that were in the fridge. I'd shout out " don't anybody touch my hummus, liverwurst or liver and onions! " and when the 3 kids all lived here they gagged at even the mention of those foods, lol! Enjoy the long weekend!

wrt liver & onions, it's all about how it's made. We never grew up eating it ever! It was because my Mom cooked it for my dad ONCE. Story goes she placed the strips of liver on a baking sheet in the oven, so of course it dried out like shoe leather, lol. I was introduced to it properly at 20. watched as the guy gently sauteed a piece in butter which was lightly coated in flour, The onions were done first, caramelized. Cast iron pan a must. None of my kids or DH will touch the stuff....their loss! ha ha

When I read your post my mind reads it as “not looking forward to long weekend with dh” and I say to myself why would she post that?

ha ha ha! Honest to goodness, there are times I shake my head at what they decide on for the 2 of them at dinnertime. This diet I'm on saves me from joining them for those heavy carb and fat meals.

In downtown T.O. ( restaurant called Spring Rolls ), they used to have an all you can eat meal, but it was all served at the table. Every person in your party had to order it though, no problem for us 5. You keep the menu at the table and each guest can order up to 5 items at once. OMG, we so gorged ourselves at that place! The Dragon rolls were my favourite off the sushi menu. But the amount of meat we had?. Shameful!
Beef Ribs especially. Darn it! Now I want some ribs....lol

I just had to Google images and Zen roll! They look so fantastic! Mine were tasty BUT the pros really know how to make them super delicious. Gotta say though, with my DS I have no idea how he can eat about 25 of them at one sitting! I get full after 6. I needed a new jar of pickled ginger so I made an early trip to Metro this a.m. Cannot enjoy them without my sliced ginger! hee hee.
