only a week and a bit re: dermaglow but some haven't been receiving my e-mails for some strange reason so I just hope it went through alright.

I'm sorry to hear about the fibro, dee. I've watched a friend struggle with it and have seen her endure terrible, difficult days right out of the blue. you're absolute fighters and have a lot of strength to deal with what fibro can throw at you -- especially considering how it's been regarded medically. it was a struggle for her to be diagnosed and even still treatment seems very limited. have you been able to find anything that offers you relief?

I'm also in my first hockey pool this year. went from 60th to 223rd in two weeks. I keep telling myself it's still early in the season... & that I should've picked stamkos!

No need to feel bad about contests void in Quebec; we have some crazy rules over here: if the total value of the prize is over 100$, the sponsors have to fill a lot of paperwork before the contest even start and also a lot after the contest ends. Furthermore, there is a tax they need to pay (a certain % of the total value of the prizes available to win in the contest). That is way so many contests exclude Quebec.

how are you doing? hope you have another painfree weekend ahead... mine also includes winter cleaning (spring, pfft) & "better late than never" is currently the mantra.

when you say you're hoping to be painfree, are you prone to it or been feeling it lately? I've had a knot right in the middle of my neck that I can't seem to stretch or rub out and it's really, really been aching lately, regardless of what I'm doing. time to mention it to the doc, I think.

still no word from dermaglow here -- anything on your end? oh & thanks for the zoomer post... never heard of it but might check it out with the mum & nan.

Oh Dee, you worded your rep perfect, I totally understood the meaning, and it was very nice to do those reps to keep the positive going. This week has been an odd one so far. The weather is nice, but have not had water for 2 days due to a new subdivision going up.

Update on the boy - he's frequenting the litter box and doing well with his syringe and pills. Vet called and was excited - his Medi-Cal rep came by and they've created a food for exactly his problem. Tested it on cats who needed the surgery to fix the problem and they never needed surgery or meds. I'll know more when he calls back. But it's definitely something that we're excited about. I'm not a fan of being a 'kitty pill pusher'!

same here, I have a tough time finding the right match re: moisturizers, beauty products. I'm prone to dry skin -- my own grrr. sensitive yet dry, not a fun combo. hahaha @ the U2 reference! thanks for the laugh. I'm pretty sure I've sang that in the beauty aisle too.

tea tree oil has been good to me over the years! my only other staple product is a moisturizer I can only find in loblaws by desert essence. hey, I did hear from dermaglow today, asking me to confirm my postal code & the closest rep will contact me.

oh, rypien. rypien, rypien, rypien! that's definitely a suspension. I missed the game but caught that on sports centre this morning. apparently the game was riddled with fights and that bout began with him punching a wild player after the ref had already broken it up. yikes, yikes, yikes. that anticipated blackhawks game will be played without him tonight.

that dermaglow offer does look good but it's pretty vague right now. it did come in one of their e-newsletters -- "take the two week challenge from dermaglow". it says to e-mail them for the closest location to pick up your sample but my e-mail to them bounced so I called and someone took my e-mail to direct me where to go... nothing yet. were you able to request yours?

That sounds like you had a nice visit, I did the big turkey dinner here, between friends and family had 15 for dinner, and man my house is way too small to do that again.

a very happy and very belated in that case.

Got a more experienced vet @ the clinic. Said what was in there was left over from the other day. Guess cats usually come back the next day or 2 after the first procedure to get the rest out. New vet didn't tell us that. He's doing okay with his meds. Think he's a bit apprehensive about eating too much though! LOL! He's such a sweet boy!

I know your pain... my computer is in the repair shop, and now I'm using a very old and slow computer... I'm frekaing out

I take it all back! He tried 3 times this morning - and nothing. Another visit this morning at 11am. I asked for a more experienced vet - this one graduated in 2010 and told us to give him high fibre food (which worsens the issue). AHHH!

Thanks for the note about Bigfoot - he's feeling much better. Not sure he likes a syringe stuck down his throat 3 times a day! LOL! He was given liquid & pills (crushed & in syringe with liquid) to make his colon help move stuff along. Seems he's going to need the pills long term. Hopefully it all works out. But for now, he's not allowed to 'graze' all day and he's got more wet food than dry.
