I am sending understandable (((hugs ))) to you!! I feel your discomfort. A g/f from high school who I was really close with married a man who was an only child and she came from a family of 12 brothers and sisters! Thank goodness they lived in B.C. where HE was from and not here in T.O. otherwise I can only imagine how many family gatherings he would have had to go to. Try to enjoy your turkey time this weekend despite the sacrifice you have to make.

Both DH and I were a united front, that was the only reason this worked for us. Plus ( and this is a big plus) his family were all heavy smokers and we are non smokers, so there was no way in he** we were subjecting any of our babies lungs to that! Also remember that some guys really love that whole tradition of being with their siblings during the holidays and if that is the case, it may cause a rift to try and change that. We always saw them all, but just not on the actual day, it would be Boxing day instead that we would go. Ahh, Memory Lane...seems so long ago now. lol

Aw I feel and remember the stress and obligation of having to go to " anyone's " house ( including my in laws ) for a holiday dinner, especailly before having kids...when I would've rather just stayed at home. I think that was one huge reason DH and I started all our own traditions the minute the first child came along. We never traveled anywhere for Xmas, New Yrs, Thanksgiving, etc. We cooked here and our kids knew this was how it was. That is their memory now.

Why is it we still have to function and cook when we are not well? I have always been bugged by that, maybe that is why I do not get sick that often because I know no one else fills in for me. lol Hope your dinner turns out yummy, feel better too ok?

As I type DH has phoned in sick to work and drove to Swiss Chalet for their " healing and comfort food " ...their chicken soup! I feel so badly for him, but it just has to run it's course.

THANK YOU! ( for understanding exactly what I mean). It does get better each day I suppose, but I still am very concerned for my fellow workers ...how long can they continue that madness of working so much O.T? Way too stressful.

well I am trying to get my mind used to just doing the inside tasks but I come home each day thinking I have forgotten something, and today I think it is from NOT doing the actual door to door delivery that is making me think this. My work life has always been part inside, part outside, so that must be what is causing this brain fart...lol!! Oh and yes! My knees are just giddy!!

I don't see any weather anymore, ( wah!!!) Inside workers need sunlight too! lol

We lived a street or two over from a street called Gloucester and I always avoided saying the name, instead saying " know that street one down from Bloor" or whatever, and I would make the other person pronounce it!! lol I just logged on here a few minutes ago, gonna check out some posts. ttyl

oh thank goodness you were done early. I always wonder why Dr's , dentists, specialists can all make us wait, but we have to give 24 hrs notice of a cancellation OR if you are late my Dr office bumps you to the end, " if they have time then " as a punishment. Oh thank goodness I am not the only one that does that! Your sis must sound hilarious. I was trying to recall something once and the person I was speaking to spoke perfect English like me, and suddenly I said the phrase " how you say? "...and as the words came out of my mouth we both cracked up, it was then I realized i was working with an Italian lady who said that to me all day when we talked! This weather was superb for walking today!! I feel so lucky to have finished early!!

I'm so happy for you! I know you had mentioned before that you were trying to get pregnant- so yay!!

I finished the PSW course at the end of June (graduated top of my class!) but I'm still looking for work. I'm probably not looking as hard as I should at the moment, I'm kind of enjoying being lazy for the summer lol. I'll start really looking in September when my little guy starts school.

I hope we can manage to get together for another coupon meet this year, it was SO much fun last year

oh stop! I am full out laughing! I thought I was in the Martime's somewheres lol!! Ok so my problem is if I hang out with anyone who speaks broken English, I START talking like them!! It is infectious! As I am doing it I'm going " wait a minute" and start laughing. I think I must do it out of sympathy in that I want them to understand me better. Too funny!!
