Thanks for the rep today ninna! have a wonderful evening!
Thanks for the rep
You can never be too prepared for Halloween!!!!!l
I also have the Wheat Belly cook book or is it WB Diet book? I forget now. I posted before about wheat, most people are unaware that the wheat they make things with now is horrible for you! It is NOT the same wheat our grandparents ate. There are endless articles about it, scary stuff. Unrelated, but I dread the time frame Oct-Feb each year, Thanksgiving starts the ball rolling, then all our b'days, Xmas....who can be good?? lol
hi ninna, ty for asking. It is a gluten sensitivity that I have. Thirty years ago I was told I had colitis, treated for that, but since I went gluten free about 10 years ago I suffer almost no symptoms, so now I am 90% sure it was NEVER colitis in the first place. Back then they just never tested adults for celiac disease ( which thank God I do NOT have that severe form of allergy relating to gluten ) but the sensitivity thing was just never on the Dr.'s radar and unless you persisted to find other answers they lumped you into the digestive disease umbrella of conditions ( Chrohn's , IBS, colitis ) The thing is because I ate everything that had gluten in it growing up, my cravings, my comfort foods, psychological triggers for eating are still attached to those foods that are not great for me. I just have to be disciplined and that can be tough for an old dog to do, lol!!
your post about someone dying a slow death if you had to give up coffee made me chuckle, thanks. I am so serious about being ticked off that I cannot go more than say 6 months without cracking and giving into a sugar binge of some sort!! Since March I have been good as freaking GOLD, but this week, omg! chocolate, licorice argh!!! I should ask Rob Ford to pay my way in Rehab!! ha ha
Thanks
now that is how to relax ninna! Sounds like you have found some great books, good for you. My DH is more the reader than me, I fall asleep or my mind wanders off then I have to re-read the last paragraph over! ha ha. btw...is there really such a thing as " work / life balance? " I wish!! I was never successful at figuring it out but I can see it as the key to less stress and getting more enjoyment out of life. All the best.
hi ninna, ty for the rep. My retirement is soooo much better now that I have gotten off my butt and am doing stuff around the house. I hibernated all winter and paid for it ( joints all stiff and sore, weight gain) sooooo much better this way! Hope you are grabbing some nice sunshine today!
Ooops. I forgot the number for CCS e 1-888-939-3333
Thanks for repping me recently! Happy Canada Day!
Thanks for the rep hun, hope your having an amazing day
Yup, my son is going this Friday - first of my children to leave home. Its a mix of emotion - Im sad hes leaving, but I am happy and excited for him. Its gonna be a tough weekend.
Thanks for the rep!! Happy Birthday!!
lol!! thanks for the rep ninna! Most people do let things bug 'em, but not all admit it, I love that you exercise it all away!!
Thanks for the rep!
Isn't it true!! Wel Happy Early Birthday wishes ninna and thank you for the Rep. It all makes sense the cycle of life at one point or another right! Have a lovely weekend.
My sis has worked HR in different places, and she said when Family Day ( each February?) came on the scene , that was why CP did not get it, because we get this one and Remembrance Day. I guess it all balances out in each Province.
Have a great week ahead; thanks so much for the rep!
Thanks for the rep. Yeah I didn't want to mention the Tim Hortons thing. Too many newbies around that may think I was bragging or something.
I feel the same way.. I am older than the lady that left the child.. I can imagine the pain she must be going through .. its such a horrible horrible experience.. when our kids hit their late teens, my hubby and I started to date again.. we decided to rekindle things.. anyways.. one of the things he started doing was opening the car door for me................. so one day we are out.. come back.... he goes into the house , gets some tea, sits on the porch, drinks it , goes back in and my daughter goes.. wheres mom.. its 20 minutes later and Ièm sitting patiently in the car.. we still laugh about it.. but its a tiny example of how something can happen.. so easily.. human error.. we all do things..
thanks for the rep! no, haven't seen the movie yet. im sure it'll be great
Yeah I am in the minority.. I just feel so sad for the whole family of the grandma who left the little one in the car.. we are all so stressed these days and most of us are just fortunate that we don't cause some sort of accident or other..
Oh we love Ginger Cookie, but we can't really take him in, what with four cats already and living in a rental. So we are going to actively try to find him a home.
Thanks for the rep! Happy Day!
It was very very good, Ninna! The adventures that this old man has are unbelievable! He manages to make friends with almost everyone he comes in contact with. And the story covers his previous life also, not just present time. I really recommend that you read this book, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it when you're finished Happy Canada Day!
