( hee hee) Sometimes I laugh as mine will say casually " oh and if you are out and about I, need this or could you grab that " etc. Sometimes I just shake my head because he knows I work OUTDOORS so I am in fact "out " every day ( well when I am not on vaca) and I have started asking him why he didn't make a point of doing that himself, just go get it. I predicted this. My kids used to laugh because I first called video games evil and they did not have that crap. Then I called computers evil! I fought DH and DS #1 about bringing the first damn one of these things into our home until I could no longer fight ( I got outvoted by 3 kids, him AND the rest of society) I warned them that their cursive writing skills would suffer ( geez! They never even developed properly as it was! ) our budget would suffer as technology always improves and you " need " an upgrade. Oh I hear you. Yes with the good comes the bad, like my meds and their awful side effects! lol

Agreed! Yes, my poor kids I had no idea how I made them suffer ( with Dial Up for ages from late 90's till maybe 2007?) BUT I hardly went on a computer, even tho DS made me email etc. ( I thought the whole thing silly, plus I was afraid I'd break something) We went through many crazy " high speed version which were in fact NOT fast ( got refunded for that too! lol) Now we are all gazing robotic-like daily into our screens! lol

true confessions here. If this stuff was around when I was a teen, I would NEVER have learned to crochet, sew, do crafts, or play any sports like I did. I would have been so addicted to this so I am grateful that I didn't really get " bit " by it till about 2-3 yrs ago, now with my kids big I have more time to waste, with no guilt, well 'cept for neglected housework! lol

I try bookmarking the golden ones to make DH laugh too.

Good luck with your thesis. Just those three letters (PhD) and I'm exhausted thinking about it. LOL. I got as far as a master's degree at Ottawa U (in English literature) and my brains were mush and I needed a break from academia. I'd originally thought I'd like to do a PhD as well, but I just don't have it in me anymore. It's a very intense commitment, so I wish you the best of luck!

Thanks for your rep, re: my missing keys. I purposely had the house keys separate from the car keys, just in case I lost both.

We also donate to War Amps and had the key tag on the keys. Eventually we would get them back.

We also got junk mail flyer from our Home Hardware for free keys, so we make some spares and were able to get into the house.

Lesson learned - slow down and take it easy.

The ska show crowds were always pretty good, but by 21 you feel super old....
