Awwww. . .thanks Lynn. It's always nice to hear a success story. How is your hubby feeling now??? My Mom's 82 but fairly healthy. I think her valve just got plain ol' worn out. Her arteries are good tho. Doctor is using a tissue valve on her. I guess he just prefers them. How are YOU doing these days my dear?

These are the fur kids and they are pretty special. The little one is almost twice as big as the big one in the photo now. Being close to someone who has experienced so much pain/sorrow opens one's eyes.

we just cam back from DQ (shhh...Walks, don't tell anyone on the diet thread!)....lol!! o.k. Lynn, Mum's the word! I just woke up after trying to watch The Emmy awards, I laid on the bed at 7:30 and thought ok a half hour before they start, then ZONK! drifted off to sleep, woke at 11:00 when they were over!! ( wahh!!!!) grrr, I hate when that happens.

I get up by 3:30 to leave by 4:30...because I start at 5:00 a.m. So if I have a few minutes before I leave I log on and harass other sc members! lol

If you do make the soup and you have a RCSS near you the beets are $1.88 for 10 lbs!!! Also potato, carrots and onion 10 lb bags too. weeeee!! I am buying freaking 0% sour cream today on the way home, screw it! It needs just that small blob in the middle to appreciate the full experience right? lol Good luck on the table runner Lynn.

thanks Lynn, both batches of the soup are done! That was labour intensive ( cleaning, peeling, slicing ) but what a reward. Now why do I want a dollop of sour cream in the middle of this bowl of borsch? Old habits die hard. hee hee

Lynn, it ( that cake ) was worth every last lick! Not sickening sweet icing kind, but layers of fresh strawberries in between the cake with REAL whipped cream, and the top all mounds of shaved white chocolate! and the berries on top were dipped in brown chocolate, The kind of cake that doesn't make you gag, or give you heartburn? Just perfect, I am ordering from there from now on. Top notch on the decoration too, classy! Sadly, no alcohol of any kind for me, still eating as clean as I can since Aug 25th. On a happier note, my DD was in good spirits for her gathering despite having to work a shift that made her late to her own event, np though we started without her. lol Next w/e she does the REAL celebration with her bff's anyways, this was just for us. So nice and quiet here, chix soup simmering, and I printed off a recipe for Russian Borsch to make shortly, I love the chill in the air, makes me want soup. FB had chickens on sale two for $12.00 yesterday too! Enjoy the day too Lynn.
