Okay, Tara...it's a deal! Wednesday, you're all mine! Of course you can't let me stay up too late, since we have to be at the hospital for 7am........so we'll just have to get an early start, perhaps...I won't be doing much in the way of shopping, since I'll be doing most of that in Florida, we we may have dinner fairly early, which means we can meet earlier, then you can still have time with your friends later that evening....
We have the babysitters for Jenny that used to take our Tammy when we left for a few days...they just adore her! Honestly...she's just like a real toddler...I doubt she thinks she's a d-o-g at all!

Well, off to sleep.....oh, it'll be so nice to have a good 'ol chat with you!!!

I only PM-ed 2 tubs at WM so I had better not dig into that 2nd one eh? DD has taken it upon herself to keep a big spoon in the basement and then she raids the freezer, no bowl, just eats out of the tub!! Man I am a forgiving Mom and she is the last kid so gets away with more. lol!

we've been " tightening " our belts, and pulling up our boot straps for so long now that there is nothing left to cut out. It reminds me with the hydro, the water, the phone, cable, internet. We find ways to reduce our usage, the they raise the rates.
When CP locked us out in the summer, THAT was what our issue was, not about a stupid raise, keep the raise, just don't change my pension and take away my right to be paid when I am ill, because I will be ill and injured when you expect me to do 2 people's routes instead of one. Geesh! I need to go to my happy place now, have you seen my ice cream? lol

yes Tara, you have described both my and my DH predicament, as well as you and your DH future. Both are bleak yes? While you have your Mom's rent subsidy pulling at your earnings for possibly 2 years more than you anticipated, I have my 3 kids eating up ours. None of them can really afford to move out, even though DS #1 did, I also contribute to his situation with groceries and some other expenses. It is getting very ugly to be a working stiff.

you are correct, DH is feeling that too. At 59 and knowing he will have to work till 67 if the gov't says so, well with the 2 of us having physical jobs, the writing is on the wall, we know our bodies cannot keep up or compete with a younger work force, and they ( the younger workers ) are just standing there waiting for you to " move on" so they can have your spot. ok my rant over too now. lol!

thanks for the rep. I use that term at work for my letters that I kill ( return to sender one's and moved etc.) They are called the Culls, funny. So your Mom thinks that the gov't feels seniors are a nuisance then? Ouch! lol

Thank you Tara, mom is going down hill still and no one seems to know what they are doing but I am hoping we can get her moved to an actual hospital by next week if she is no better.. We have to wait for her doctor to come back again.. Other than that there is not much new.. Thank you for thinking of us..

Thank you, Tara, I appreciate your prayers. An hour is a long way away, Hon....but if you do find yourself in that neck of the woods, I'd love to meet you...we'll be at Women's College Hospital from 7:30am....and not sure how long it will take. Apparently the surgeon removes more stuff from where the biopsy was, and spends an hour (?!) looking at the pathology, and if he finds any cancer cells, he calls him back in for another 'round' of removal..that repeats until he detects no more cancer cells in the biopsy. The he does some reconstructive surgery. Needless to say, he'll have his Kobo, and I'll have my ipad games...

6 months of freedom....now THAT will feel wonderful, won't it? We're heading to Toronto in a couple of weeks..DH has a surgery appt to remove cancerous tissue on his forehead...MOHS surgery. Apparently it can take some time during the day, but we're hoping to make the trip back later that day. We're over-nighting at the Chelsea the evening before and ohhhh...probably...doing some shopping at TheBay our arrival day, too. Then up for his 7:30am surgery the next morning....kind of scary, but I think he'll be fine...Have a GREAT 6 months, Sweetie!!
