I am kicking myself for NOT making plans to do this years ago, living with awful pain for more than 8 years when there were options I am lucky enough to have here.
My daily stretches....ugh! The exercises, aka homework ( pre surgery ) are killing my gluteus maximus! Feels like I've been riding a bicycle sitting on the hardest seat! lol

we are all our younger selves the older we become. Bring on the memories of childhood! ha ha

yup, I did the same, thought I could manage the knee and other pains myself without surgery. Now IF had only I got my name on a list back then eh? Hindsight.
My DH may have to think about retirement IF and when I get this done because I won't be able to be here alone during recovery. I mean...who will feed Frankie? ha ha

same here. I have finally accepted the knee replacement route after avoiding it for years! The wait list to get it done is long I hear.

I believe the weather has got the best of you and am surprised as I thought you guys at the other end of the country don’t know how to deal with it other than to stay home!
I walked to No Frills and back today (about 30 min) and going was fine but on the way back I thought my nose and fingers were going to drop off!
Had it been on the way there I would have done a u turn!

alas....no one I know has a membership. Wanna cry? An ex coworker who I was very close to was a member, would bring CostCo items into work for me. ( like the elusive Balderson 6 yr.old cheese! ) .
She quit for medical reasons the same year I retired. We kept in touch for 10 years exchanging various grocery sale info, coupons etc. She lost her breast cancer battle in March of 2023. But...what a freaking warrior she was!

I had no idea using a GC from Costco would get me in the door? Hmmm, I might try that! ty. Btw, BOTH of my knees cries out in unison when I read that you WALKED the 5km home after dropping off your vehicle for repair. lol.

thanks, The guys already jumped into some of it when they came in the door after their shift at 3 a.m. I wasn't asleep anyways so no worries about any noise they made vacuuming the basement.
They even hauled a large recliner up from the basement into the living room. My main work now is food prep. I'll get there.

my sil can't catch a health break, Has suffered with MS ( for years now ), had 1 kidney removed 2 years ago, a host of other mild/medium conditions that she takes meds for, so..... she just doesn't need this now after burying the first of her younger 4 sisters in August at 67 years old.
