Not surprised you feel worn out, more like beaten up. When my back was REALLY bad, I had to use 'Meals on Wheels' because I just couldn't stand to cook. The food's not bad, nutritious, & heats up quickly. Still have some in the freezer for those bad days. You might want to consider giving them a try. I hope ur feeling better now, but if not, I hope you do soon.

Relieved to be back & that he's forgiven me. Appts. virtually every morning. I think between you & I, we could support physicians for life. lol

agreed 100% with you, JUST label everything honestly in words I can understand ( no fake long chemical names to represent MSG or gluten or sugar!!) and if people choose to eat corn, wheat whatever? That is an informed decision, but to deceive us always in the name of profit drives me batty! Your pets are more human than animal!! ha ha

No not really. Jake took 3 - 4 days to play, eat ..... @ all. Threw up a lot, but the 2nd week he was ok. The separation was probably good for him, but hard on both of us. Glad I'm back.

hi Andit! Our " corn drug dealer " ( hee hee off his truck ) used to be parked on a corner at Meadowvale and Sheppard, sort of if you were on your way to the Toronto Zoo. Oh but that was so long ago, if I close my eyes I can still remember the slab of butter we would have in the centre of the table that we'd roll our hot cobs in and those little cute corn skewers the kids loved to play with like swords. About GMO?? Oh yes, I cannot understand why they splice things that should never go together?

Not funny. I was SO worried, but all's fine. Whew. I never could have imagined how much I missed him, and that was one of my worries !!!!! But, he still loves me, & I don't think I could ever leave him again. I think I cried every day.

I know most corn in genetically modified which does not sit well with me, so I have not eaten actual corn for almost 8 years now. ( we used to always buy some farm fresh cobs off a truck on the side of the road and have a family dinner of just that years ago, but no more )
That being said, I still have my weakness for a crunchy snack and that has seen me diving into a bag for a measured 20 Tostito chips ( only because they are gf ) to dip into 1/2 c mild salsa, hoping that appeases my craving. ( it sometimes does not ) and I have even bought Certified Organic ( gawd the price!) popping corn and air popped it when trying to eat less calories but feel full. Things involving changing life long habits are always a work in progress for me. I was really good today though, ate like a normal person and not a ravenous out of control monster!

great way to change the subject. You know about 10 min ago i tried to lay down to nap, just could not keep my eyes open here, but Hamlet insisted on hogging 3/4 of one side of the bed and I had no heart to push him aside. sigh...they get spoiled eh?

Were you aware of the In Kilt Tonight show last October? Any chance you were there? I've posted a couple of pictures in the forum. If you like I can send you a CD or digital copy of the music from the show. He did some pretty unique stuff and it was all unplugged. It was just Larry, a guitar, piano and sometimes a foot drum. It was the absolute best performance of his I've ever been too.

oh gotta say I have never heard of a liver cake! But I do get my cravings for liver and onions still, so I would probably eat the pets cake. That is wonderful baking good clean stuff for your furbabies. I admire that effort.

bite your tongue! There was no cake here, ( still trying to lose that weight) ha ha, however maybe on the w/e DH and I can slip out to a nice restaurant alone and indulge in a shared dessert!! We'll see, he has his heart set on seeing the new Guardians Of the Universe movie and that includes taking the 2 kids here. ( they are adults! I keep calling them kids ) Oh and agreed totally on the " bubblewrapping " of kids today. Everyone is treated like a victim in some capacity. We ( DH and I ) were raised to accept what life tossed at us and learned to sneer back in defiance. My pups are very happy I am home because they def. get more walks now. Enjoy the day!

Lol....Jennynhas absolutely no idea what to do with a ball, Andi. Now soft, squeaky toys? Those are her prized possessions. My therapist showed my hubby how to help me with leg lifts, so that's what we do....without use of that leg at all, I know I wouldn't even be able to get into the tub; getting onto and sliding over on my bath seat is exercise enough, lol. I'm so afraid of slipping off that thing!
Chainmaille takes a talent I don't seem to possess, and even making jewelry is getting more difficult with my eyesight and hands not as cooperative as they have been...maybe bird houses are more in my future....
