funny you mentioned the cat harness thing, my DH said he wants to train Hamlet to walk on a leash because he says he is a very smart cat. The one harness we had tried on both of them at different times was used just to sit out in the backyard with and Hamlet squirmed the entire time trying to escape from the thing. Claudius is much calmer and just wants to munch any grass and plants he sees, no trying to dart away. That made me laugh about the purse Quincy hangs out in.

It was truly interesting, I am NOT that educated, so I sure enjoyed reading about the family crest and such. oh but Andit I wish I could post a pic of the " cathouse " DH built over the w/e for our 2 boys ( Claudius and Hamlet ) Wooden frame all screened and erected ( hung off the window frame outside kitchen window )
Claudius was out in it most of yesterday, Hamlet is the one who is up as soon as I rise, follows me to the kitchen then claws at the blinds to say " open the window! " Hamlet is actually a longer and taller cat than Claudius, oh and BADDER as well. ( he picks on the dogs all the time, walks right up their faces and smears his cat face along theirs and then darts away) This summer we are going to have to watch him like a hawk as he tries to escape every time a door is opened.

I'm thinking of you today, Andi, and hoping that.....well...I'm not sure what I'm hoping, really...I lost my Dad years ago on Dec 22nd, so I understand how tough it must be for you right now; let's just say I hope that as the days pass your deep sadness will eventually be replaced by the wonderful memories you have of your Dad. I wish you and your Mom comfort in those memories and peace and love through the new year. I hope your health has been steadily improving...we all miss you here.
