aw geez Nat, your poor brother losing Shelby like that. Knowing he is heartbroken and with it happening so close to Christmas makes that tough. Hope you are feeling some relief with your pain too, my back IS improving BUT at a snails pace.

Friday night I was laying upstairs and really felt good, so I got up and made a large batch of Royal icing ( in the machine, no hand mixing for me, lol ) and proceeded to decorate many of the sugar cookies and then moved on to the Gingerbread guys. The ones that are left I am leaving plain, we have more than enough.
They look the best I have ever made too, colours were less vibrant which is what I wanted. They are all stacked in the freezer now. Made the 6 individual bundt cakes just now, will not ice till the 25th though so into the freezer with them as well! ( well, when they cool )

I started at around 5 p.m. I think and by 10:30 I had cleaned the last of the piping bags and tips, washed the bowls and the table. Naturally there was a blue food colouring accident at the sink just as my back started screaming ENOUGH! but cannot leave any of that icing on anything overnight or it is rock hard. Plus I hate to have DH come in from work to a disaster zone in the kitchen.
Still in so much damn pain, even now. I have improved enough to walk slowly, drive only if I get in and out of the drivers seat slowly, so basically I am in slow mode for now, which is a speed that aggravates me ( I think I am a type A personality.....lol!!)
My eldest turns 28 today!!
