Natalka, I was posting visitor messages for a couple of SCers and it just so happened the last VM each of them received was from you. I happened to see you were talking about your sister and a brother-in-law (different sister) who have been having health problems. I guess I've been out of the loop on this. I don't know all the details although you mentioned surgery and a scan, but I think you said they were doing better and just wanted to say I hope that continues to be the case. I'll say a prayer for them. Take care. Silk

to be honest Nat, their prices are WAY too steep for my liking ( which is why I wait till I can at least get my b'day meal FREE ) I simply cannot eat enough to get my $ worth you know? My guys on the other hand, oh Lord! I watch them load a minimum of 3 plates each heaped with food and they still have room for dessert! I have np at all taking 1 spoon of many things because at least I get to try everything. Often DH cracks up as I eat my 1 mouthful of a dish and savour the taste. I tell him, if it is really good I can always get more, I just hate waste. Many buffet goers waste so much, eyes are bigger than their bellies.

Nat! there were small cold shrimp I sprinkled into my salad, larger ones in a cooked veggie mixture, even more yummier ones that were wrapped in a dumpling wrapper , I of course removed it, wanting no carbs today.. lol! Then I saw the big peel your own cold ones on ice and had some with seafood sauce! I stayed so strong avoiding anything battered, buttered, deep fried or sauced up! I must be in the right frame of mind because I found everything I chose so tasty! No ick full bloated feeling after either. Downed 2 pots of Jasmine tea with my meal. I am so happy this will not be repeated till next year! ha ha

woo! hoo! My DS#1 just phoned to say he is well enough to come out our way so the Mandarin Buffet lunch is back on!! We are celebrating 4 b'days today ( those of us between mid Dec-early Feb! ) Might take in a movie after, we'll see how everyone feels.

us January gals must stick together! lol. I am going to regret staying up this late again, but tried to sleep around 11:00 p.m. and no luck. Hoping soon to get groggy!

Thanks so much for sharing, your kindness is appreciated.. Its wonderful they got your sisters at stage 1.. catching it early seems to be the best case scenario if you have to get it.. My surgeon called today so I wouldn't have to wait too long for news but had different input than the oncologist so I'm feeling confused.. but hopefully I will know more on the 4th.. I love the doctors in Hamilton, they call me at home to let me know whats up.. its really thoughtful.. Thanks for your wonderful words , I hope the best for you and yours!!

oh Natalka! Those adorable mermaid snuggling blankets are so cute!! I know how to crochet a pattern for the fin part that looks like it is knit. It is called Fisherman's Crochet, the rest of it looks like it is crocheted to me too.
