So jealous of your yard-raking, seeing what passes for grass in the spring.....we're still under a fairly deep cover of snow, although the stuff has pulled away from the front of the house for a foot or so...so I can see some dirt!! And since it's sunny today, we're all hoping for more melting...oh, how I hate that white stuff!!!

we do not buy for anyone but ourselves ( kids and DH ) and maybe 1 sis. That's it. So if it ever gets to the point where I cannot manage to do that during the month of December then just shoot me now, lol!! I am relieved the days of buying for waaaay too many people is gone!

you know there is another great advantage to the berries for your DH, and that is the antioxidant thing the experts rave about, so fantastic that he lost all that weight, but like me gained it back. It is just so tough to keep it off. I buy 1-2 trays of whatever berry is on the cheapest each week ( mainly for our morning oatmeal ) and then I fill in the fruit gap with snagging some RCSS huge gorgeous Gala's with a pm from FB!! ha ha. In fact the jumbo cantaloupes were $1.00 ea 2 weeks ago and the ones I got were sooo sweet! Just lucky.

your form of rebellion is truly understanding! btw, how does he justify eating 3 c of fresh berries a day? When i am dieting fruit is very resticted because of the sugar content. You know my thing has been wanting to scream the odd time when any negative comment would be made about the taste of a certain dish....or worse NO comments...I mean yikes, show some gratitude eh? So far so good though, I noticed 1 of the large packs of frozen ground beef has been put in the fridge, that means DH is probably going to be making a chili tonight ( with all them free PC beans! ha ha ) This time I truly hopes he gently hints DS to assist him with the prep and cooking, he needs to learn as well.

thrifty! I have reached my breaking point...finally! It is more about what has happened to me rather than anything any of them actually did or did not do here. My weight has me ballooned up ( started around Aug/Sept ) and I came to the realization that 24/7 all i ever have in my brain is food ( in 1 way or another ) Either I'm scanning flyers to shop, or actually lugging the groceries in, or planning, prepping, cooking and cleaning up everyone's meals, that I have totally lost and ignored my self. Have to commit to get back on the gluten free, low or no sugar, no salt eating and I only want to be accountable for myself! It may sound cruel but it is not! Everyone here is more than capable of cooking and eating whatever they choose, so lets see how this experiment goes eh?? Wish me luck, I hope my guilt does not kick in ( motherly guilt, argh!! )

I am such a pushover, other than gently mentioning it to them and I get some improvement for a day or two.....but after that it never lasts....ha ha .

lol!! You know JUST once I would like to come down and see the sink the way I left it at night! I have had it spotless and every counter clean, stove wiped and gleaming so many times. I get down there in the a.m. it's as if we own no dishes because there are crumbs on every counter! Sink is filled with crusty bowls and plates and glasses with a teensie layer of milk in the bottom!! agh!!!! ha ha thanks, maybe I should post a rant?
