ha ha you sound like my DH! He was like " wadya mean we're havin no turkey in December?! I really loved the last 2 years we have done a fun served 6-8 course dinner spread over a few hours, and turkey was not on the menu. It was work, but there was breathing room in between and conversation/laughter, the kids helped clear and serve. I cherished that more than the scrambling around setting one huge meal, everybody is busy passing serving dishes across the table, we'll see as it comes closer to December.

you said it. I almost lost it at one point, the metal rack slipped out of the grooves on one side and slammed down. Good thing it was on the lowest level when it fell. I thought that is a flaw in my oven that I never experienced before. Those racks should be secure in those grooves shouldn't they? Then I was thinking....maybe 30 lbs is too much weight for the rack to hold?? Well it is done for another year anyway. Enjoy your weekend!

Speedy recovery Nancy...well, would u believe that my surgery isn't happening today? I was so prepared but got a call yesterday from the surgeons office that he had a medical emergency so it has been postponed again until ???...they'll call again with a new date...sooo frustrating as my mom had to cancel her plans to be here to look after the baby & I don't think she may be able to come the 3rd time round..what to do?

The South Side Shuffle is a mostly blues music event that goes on in Port Credit every year - they have it in the big park there on a few stages and a street festival on the Saturday - been going for quite a few years now.
