ha ha I have a feeling this is what might be happening and when a CSM is asked they look at it and interpret it the same way especially oif you word the question to suit the answer you are trying to get. ONly time will tell.

oh wow! now that is truly a scared postie, I wonder if he got bit real bad once and that made him crazy scared? I know I had so many close calls, once I tell you I actually peed as I slammed the screen door closed. The 2 rottweilers were bounding full force from inside, and running away was not an option as the screen door would never have held them inside. I was screaming and 1 of the dogs busted right through the screen mesh before the owner grabbed him. I was a basket case for about 10 solid minutes crying walking down the street trying to resume delivery. Then people wonder why I never would walk up their steps to delivery if the inside door was open and just the screen door there. only if I knew they had no dog would I go up.

I know!! I see many things ( delays) I cannot speak of. ( or then they'd have to kill me) I sure hope it improves in time.

I agree he is actually on the same street, yes and it should also be noted most supervisors are a tad blind anyways. lol!! agh!! hope none of mine are reading on sc now ha ha

np, I don't mean they ALL obey that guideline, just that they are supposed to because it could bite them in the behind one day if they don't.
Also supervisors have been known to do random street checks where they go out to a route and watch the carrier ( without him/her seeing) and if they see unsafe practices they nail them! So if the carrier is not on the street they figure he/she should be on at that time, they will " have some splainin to do! " lol

I have to say one positive thing about the new system. The carriers deliver the routes EXACTLY the same way every day. I think they have to now, not like before when it was a bit more flexible and up to the carrier kind of. Now every move they make can be tracked/traced through their PDT's
( Portable Data Terminals ) so if anything goes awry and they are on O.T. they might get questioned as to why their route was delivered out of sequence and denied the O.T. they worked ( a petty point, but they need to watch their backs )
