I hope you are doing better today. If you start feeling sadness remember it is normal, she just passed away recently; but do keep in mind one day you will have thoughts of her, and you will remember all those fond moments you had with her, and you will feel a happiness that you knew her and you will smile.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother passing away. I was lucky to know my grandmothers too, and they were special family members. Like our mom/parents without the discipline part kinda thing, all the good stuff.

It's nice that you are that close, we are hours away from our extended family. My husbands family lives in Romania so we never see them.

I wish I could have spent more time with my Grandma before she got to the point she was in the hospital, but you just get so busy with life and your kids that you think your grandparents will be there forever for you to visit when you have time.

that's great! everything will take time. my mom just had major abdominal surgery in november. she's 87. it was a long time before she was strong enough to walk any distance. she may be small but she's feisty! she'll be finished chemo soon and hopefully that will be it.

how is she doing today? have you heard from anyone who has seen her today?
