my Mom bought me a Pizelle iron one Christmas, and gave me her recipe, they are quite fun to make actually, at 12 my DD was part of the production line. Problem like everything else is I can inhale a dozen without even thinking.

I've seen a video where people grow their own potatoes in trash cans. You just need a potato that has sprouted to start. Might be a fun little experiment...?? I grew up with a veggie garden. Once I own my own house, I think I would go crazy with it (will probably hate the work, but it's worth it in the end)

Dry curds are very hard to find!!! I located them only in one small European specialty store downtown here in Ottawa.

Hopefully things are better today. My problem is that I have too many things, not usually a problem until I start cleaning one section and the rest of the place looks like a cyclone hit. Add in some crazy bouncy critters and life is really exciting.

Thanks Natalka, for your message, you are right it is about time, love and family....I find now that my children are older Christmas is not the same..and this is the first Christmas without my Dad...I'm just going to have to breath and remember the real reason for Christmas!!

my family can eat a meal of Shepherd's Pie once every week if I made it. Let's be honest though, just an excuse for them to eat a browned ground beef mixture with mashed taters on the top, I believe it falls into the comfort food category?? Sometimes I ache for a more creative menu...sigh.
