My journey has to be this way and it's accepting it and getting on with what I can do that sometimes bogs me down. Louise Hay did say there are opportunities, a thimbleful or an oceanful, waiting for us. Sometimes I reflect on that thought and make sure I keep warm (throw blanket, staying in bed, my warm winter coat when I go outside, drink tea). As the Mandalorian states, "This is the way."

Thank you for your kind comments. We always tried to teach our kids and now our grandkids to be kind and generous to those less fortunate. The little boy down the street isnt so little anymore. He is 13 years old but DD always invites him at all our family celebrations because his family doesnt celebrate because of separation. We include him in our gift exchanges and just like my grandkids, i prepare him a grab-bag with lots of goodies. He is a nice boy but his family situation leaves much to be desired.

I can certainly answer your question! I have had some pain develop in the left (thigh) top and side (started around Oct 31) and this week, my lower left calf is squawking (thought it was raking related but I could be also not sitting properly at the computer with one leg tucked under so...questions). I am gathering that my cancer is likely impacting those areas hence letting me know my walking range and ability to stay out on my own is diminishing. I am also resting more often and giving the areas a massage for what it might do. So instructive pain can be understood that acknowledging the pain exists and adapting my activities or allowing for more support (slower pace or realizing, hey, I have to do things over a couple of days instead of one morning) during activities--some chores need doing because my family members are not pitching in with them.

you betcha! I stopped short of buying a dollar store mini led light set to string around, after realizing it is lights out for him by 8 p.m.
When I begin the routine of covering the sides and top of his cage with spare pillow cases, he dutifully hops up his ladder. He sleeps there for the night I think because there is always " evidence " on the rungs of his nighttime poops! ha ha

Didn't know either of those stories,I will need to get caught up as more exciting than buying the wrong jar of pickles!

ha ha !! Did you mean at Pet Smart or today at Dollarama? I still cannot believe I can sometimes drop $100.00 at a Dollar store!? I get everything home and clearly I needed all that was there....lol

Thanks i would rather get out there and shop for my small grandkids for xmas gifts now than when the stores are more crowded and ice is on the ground or snowing etc .Have a great night.

yeah, I figured your body aches could not be blamed on a person. Same here....the morning creaks in my knees see me at such a slow start, eventually they loosen up. Carry on.

I am in a Facebook group that sends small gifts to students in the north and they fit in a 10x13 envelope. we do lots of other stuff but the back packs and Christmas envelopes are the big ones so it keeps me busy in October to get everything mailed in time, thanks for asking, its something I enjoy doing.

Hi Skippy! For as many ounces as Frankie weighs. he sure provides us with limitless pounds of entertainment. Our DD came by for a " mini and early " Thanksgiving meal and got such a kick out of how we talk about him and treat him. It's as if he is one your our kids she said.... ha ha

He really is first! I don't even have my shower before I clean his cage and feed him in the a.m. More recently I've started cleaning the cage at night, set him back inside and then in the a.m. it is still half decent. Birds are messy!

Oh, Skippy there's a lot between now and Christmas! Thanksgiving for one! �� Life is quite wonderful, no big worries, thank God, but Christmas is my most favourite time of year the year...perhaps childhood memories contribute to that, both Christmas and Little Christmas, Ukranian Christmas. Both were equally exciting. Also, love the lead-up to Christmas...the anticipation, already 2 gifts have arrived..the wrapping, baking, watching everyone open their gifts...the exception is the winter that follows! Wishing you well, Skipper! ��
