Ha Ha yes i am a cooler person now -love the new air and furnace .The last 5 days were awefull.

I have finally accepted that flaw in my being. Despite following many an instruction sheet when planting things, took DH's advice but still any thing with roots would rather end their life than grow for me......ha ha ha !! Have a terrific day! This place smells like fabulous homemade cooked burgers...that is my plan to wake DH up earlier than he wants to.

I have been so spoiled over the years and sometimes I take him for granted. Must remind myself of the bounty of eye popping flowers and veggies he grows, as none of it would never happen left to me....I can kill a rock garden! ha ha

ah yes....the thankless jobs, the caretaker ones that many Mom's just accept as their routine. ( to be fair many modern Dad's are also robotic in their daily responsibilities ) Fur balls are the worst when you discover them underfoot!

DS sucks DH and I into watching many shows we normally would never have on our radar. I used to resist, but turns out he knows a good series when he sees one. Also, I would have zero idea of how trilogy stories are connected but he explains everything! And I do mean everything ( yawn )....ha ha

btw i did read your post about only being here for updates on Frankie...lol That was great. Nothing new really...he continues to torture our 2 ginger cats, poops everywhere in his long paper toweled cage, and swipes a meal worm every time off the tray before I can even set it down in the cage....he is a laugh, that is for certain.

Oh thanks i still watch my wee grandchildren age 3, 5 ,and 7(3 days a week) .I just iced it today for a bit ,and it still is a bit sore coming up our stairs (i have a darn 2 storey house )wish i had a bungelow .Say la vie .Stay cool.

Hi, I am here! My nights and days are confused, so my world is topsy-turvy!
So glad things have cooled down here, we will be in low 20s until the weekend, where we will go back into the 30s again. I have really appreciated the break!

Isn't is great that we CAN and DO laugh at ourselves? I am curious if the 5 second rule applies to " lemon meringue floor pie "? Isn't there also a rule of three somewhere....maybe that pie was the 3rd thing? When I was very young ( in my 20's maybe ) I'd die of embarrassment over the most menial things. Well...in my youth cricit might have been in my wheelhouse, but no....now Cricut is more my speed, lol. Honestly with my watercolours, resins, sewing and now my Cricut, this past year of self-isolation has been fantastic! I'm a bit jealous of your walks, however; I use a walker now and until this dizziness and weakness gets resolved, I tend to stay home. With ALL my stuff, Haha! We do what we can, right? ��

oh lol!! Ya know...our sc postings regarding our same day wedding anniversary date goes way back. The first time we noticed we shared the date was worth a laugh...then it became an annual reminder to wish her and DH and she'd always wish us many many more years together. It was a member on sc that posted the very funny question....are you and Nat married to each other? More laughs.

lol!! Sorry about that, TMI. I used to take the tweezers and crush the meal-worm heads because we did not want them biting Frankie in his throat on the way down. However, the sounds of their heads between the metal..., oops, well o.k. I won't say. So now I simply plop each one into a couple of inches of water ( drowning ) and they are perfect for him. ( you cannot hear them scream underwater. )

you said it Skippy! Frankie looks so darn cute all fully feathered up now and hopping up and down on DH's hairy legs. In fact watching DH's interactions with Frankie crack me up. I'm not that brave because it would take just one quick hop and he'd be off of my leg and onto the floor, where lets face it.... two large tabby cats want a piece of him. So I happily embrace being the cage cleaner and the meal-worm provider. ha ha

You are super in giving appreciation to posts-I like seeing what you and other members discover or happily find by chance on your shopping excursions or travels in your area. I try to remember that sometimes we don't all have the opportunity to roam the board to check out new threads so possible topics that affect us all will get some attention in our monthly Frugal thread and usually a thread in the related subforum.
Locally, elementary school year ends today so I'm certain parents and other guardians are literally trying to make this week fun for all after the stress of online schooling.
Besides, shopping online *or window shopping online* could help a member who suddenly recalls an item needed and a post jogs the action to find item ASAP.
I'm glad I don't live in Burlington near Ikea--a kitchen towel spree would ensue!

Skippy, you might find single serving Throwback/Retro at a convenience store but try your area Shoppers as tomorrow, 3 for $5 Pepsi offer is valid (at least in ON). Check your local flyer! The canned Retro has been gone since about mid-April. Never saw it in May anywhere except for 591 ml bottles here and there (Walmart coolers at cash). You do have good offers in your area!
