I knew it! ( tornado ) yes I watched a news report on these lentil farmers who were harvesting or something ( ?) and they had to high tail it off the field in their pick up truck! The video was very surreal! So glad Milan has some travel experiences under his belt now, we all get different things from traveling, so glad his trip was worth it for him. He will arrive to big hugs when he reaches your door I know that!

because of my family's ( father's ) history I abstained but then I dabbled lightly when I did partake, and only in
" safe " environments with my DH and on special occasions over dinner ( Xmas, Thanksgiving etc ) only. We had no booze at all in the house when the kids were younger. Maybe that is why I have a low threshold for it. We still warn our kids that the stuff can sneak up on you if you drink on a regular basis and since addictions runs in both bloodlines, precautions or at least awareness is still discussed.

good morning Natalka, you know around here everyone else can handle more spice than me. Now that DH and DS are " sort of " cooking for themselves, when they make a chili DH wants me to buy him 1 hot pepper to dice up and then that means I usually cannot eat any of his batch ( lol! maybe that is his evil plan! ) but it can be tough to find singles. ( WM packages too many peppers in the trays, we'd never use them up ). Even with store bought salsa, I get Mild. Grabbed medium by mistake a couple of times and man it was just awful trying to enjoy dipping my Tortilla chips in it. I ate chili for breakfast today! ha ha

ahh thanks nat missed chatting -hope your infection is better -wow I didn't miss the extreme humidity we had in southern Ontario-and hubby is calling his doctor on Monday thanks -as he has had a problem with his heel for awhile now

I'd never have found it otherwise!

Guys. Hmph. Good for you for moving and f-l-i-p-ping it on! I know how you must feel...omg, I can NOT sleep when it's too warm! We keep the house at about 67 during the night, and I guess during the day, too, when it's really hot outside. Today it's cooled down out there, so we're comfy without it....I can't believe how the month is flying by, Nat!!! It's almost September!!!

Thank you, Nat, but things have gone from bad to worse...I can barely walk at all, and have to live on pain pills; had I known how much arthroscopic surgery would hurt, I'd never had agreed to it! And weeks of this?! Another summer blown to smitherines!!!

Oh rats about your heat wave! We've been fortunate to never have to wait too long for a sale on ribs. Our NF always has either side or back pork ribs, and the odd time some BEEF ribs!! I should not devour them the way I do, but as Lynn was saying with ribs you can just eat the whole slab up so fast! Another successful " NO-going-to-any-stores " day is completed! I have been doing this as a reminder experiment to my TBT days when I used cash for all my purchases. We use CC wisely of course for rewards BUT the fact is more things are bought when you slide the card in instead of using real $$.
