Oh, I had a major crush on him as a teen. Drool. (age is all relative )

Ever see The Wicker Man from 1973? Brilliant acting, great movie and scary (the remake with Nick Cage lost the subtly which made it a thriller).

I'll have to look for it. Been a while since I've watched anything with subtitles (used to do the foreign flicks at TIFF, some were fun, some were wth).

Have fun staying warm today - good day for watching old tv shows (Equalizer for me today while I do some organizing).

Not sure about the female writers. Somehow their style always seems to go into soap opera land - not sure if it's cause that's what they like or that's what is expected? Film/TV is a weird world at the best of times (worked as an extra, did some tech stuff, camera work, etc) - the people are fun, but living in a parallel universe. Theatre folks are the same. Great people, especially if taken in small doses. I learned my lesson about artists (sweet but crazy bf who thankfully didn't become a dh).

I remember thinking "Yeah, finally a normal woman" when Catherine Disher played the coroner on Forever Knight - she wasn't the stereotypical hysterical woe-is-me type gal, at least for the first little while (as always, these things degenerate). Seems women are always portrayed as crazy or catty or clueless.

Blue Thunder was fun with a fancy helicopter, too bad it didn't last long. I think A-Team beat all of them WRT the airborne vehicles. Loved the whole concept of fixing up a battered old school bus cause there were no armoured personnel carriers to be found in the jungle.

And what's wrong with the Hardy Boys? They were way more fun than Nancy Drew. Parker Stevenson was very easy on the eyes. He played a nasty on an episode of the '88 version of Mission: Impossible (lots of pretty boys in that one and some fun gadgets too). Did you ever watch North and South - Patrick Swayze, James Read, Jonathan Frakes, Parker Stevenson. Yummmm. Who really cares about historical accuracy when you're looking at pretty scenery.

I had a HUGE crush on Stephen J Cannell. My bff and I went to LA on vacation in 1990 and stumbled upon his offices while touring - she made up an excuse for us to go in the building, just so I could get close to my hero. Ah, to be young and silly again.

How did I miss that show????? Then again, even back as a kid, the shows that had corpses were the ones that interested me (I must've been the only kid in kindergarten who wanted to discuss the plot of the previous night's Columbo ).

thanks for the rep! I actually went to that when it was in Toronto! It was definitely geared towards professional bloggers, not anyone trying to get into the industry. I don't want to travel 365 days/year but I am interested in travel. Wasn't helpful for me

Thanks for the rep! But I have a MUCH better de-skunking formula!
4 cups 3% Hydrogen Peroxide , 1/4 cup baking soda and 1 tsp Dawn soap. Works brilliant!!!
